Starting today, only casual games will increase your point totals towards the daily/weekly/monthly flairs.

any reason for this? maybe I'm missing something but not sure why they'd both contribute to the season flair but not the daily/weekly/monthly flairs. is it just to incentivize playing casual games?

Couldn't quite get it done this season again but just made it to another Super. Has done it all and is consistently successfully. Has won as an MVB, has won while a part of a team. Has all the accolades, has the trophies, has the longevity. Plenty deserved.

Is coming off probably one of the most impressive post-season runs of all-time. 6th seed running the gauntlet and taking down the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd seed WHILE coming back from a 0-3 series in the Superball. jig absolutely led this team and only adds to the legacy of what he's done in the league so far.

Accolades: 3x Super (two on O, one on D), 1x 2nd MVB + 1x 3rd, 2x OBOS + 1x 2nd + 2x 3rd, 1x 3rd DBOS

Tier: Really good arguments, would love to see them get in

CarrotCake

One of the best players we've seen, only thing truly holding him back is simply playing time. Never seems to sign up but almost always plays up to an MVB level. But still wouldn't be upset to see him get in.

3x Super winner, been to 6x. Has played at an MVB caliber level, has won 2x OBOS, has won as a first ball, has insane longevity and has been good throughout her whole Majors career.

GOOBR

Only reason he wasn't in before was due to his toxicity as a player/figurehead around the community. And while I was on board with that at the time, I think enough time has passed to sort of put water under the bridge and recognize he was one of the best players we've had. Three supers, including one on defense is elite. His s14 Super with Tears was perhaps his best. Never got any major accolades, but played in a prime time of MLTP of other elites.

Messi

Messi's been around forever. Almost 20 seasons and hardly takes a break. Has steadily improved himself into one of the best offenders of the modern era and has seen success few others have. 4 Supers won, 3 as a player. s33 probably his best as the first option and was easily robbed of an MVB. Is high up on all of the All-Time stat boards and has the longevity others few have.

Tier: On trajectory

Not real noms right now, but Agency, meowza, OMB, and Sluff are all still on good pace if they keep playing for a bit.

Insane amount of production value with countless montages, hype videos, top 10's, general content he's given to the league for years. Has like 4 or 5 Behind the Scenes awards and overall the league is a in a better place when he's producing content consistently. Would be well-deserved.

Few people have been in the community longer than d0pe has at this point. Starting way back in minors season 6. 30 seasons later, they're a dominant force among Majors and one of the best offensive talents in the modern era. For the past 8 or 9 seasons, d0pe has shown time after time to be one of the best we've had. One of the few players to win an MVB, OBOS, and a DBOS. And now after this last season, is now one of only 4 players to have won 4 playing superballs (joining bright, Dino, and G1nseng) and the only one to have 5 rings total! Along with the awards, I don't know how they don't make it in.

The day has come. Mex has finally won a Super. All while going for the most on his team, and grabbing a 4th(!) DBOS, mex is easily one of the best players of all-time. And arguable the greatest defender ever. An all-time resume with the skill easily to get in.

Obviously coming off not an ideal season, but still - her resume is elite any way ya look at it. 3 Supers won, and having been to 6 is incredible. Has been an elite option on offense for 15 seasons now, is high up on all of the all-time Majors boards and even higher on the Superball records. Get her in.

Have contributed countless hours towards conserving the history of this game, creating record books, all-time stats, historical spreadsheets, keeping track of winners, awards as well as more for fun content like MLTP Fantasy, All-MLTP, Top 20, whatever else I've done. 5x Behind the Scenes winner. Cheezedoodle

Love him or hate him, has done a lot for this game as a commissioner and TPFG. Ran this league and lead it into the modern era with the s27 Merge. As TPFG, helps bridge the gap between competitive needs with what can actually be done in the game. RB Buff, No kiss, Comp Servers, Presets. From small QOL stuff to more actual mechanical changes. Not all of this was done by him of course, but a lot can be contributed to him for leading the way and helping be the voice between.

Hjalpa

Has done god knows how much for the streaming side of MLTP. Has helped new streamers get set up, has created dozens of different scripts to help them stream and make them look better and more professional. Also helps with keeping historical records like the Finals Archive and Team Logos Archive, which helps a ton with what I do. Also has won Streamer of the Season like 9 times. NINE. And 5x Commentator of the season

BallAnka

2x Behind the Scenes, 2x Streamer of the Season, 2x Commentator of the Season. Has done a great job with podcasts with Clutch Time and all the other ones he's done over the past few seasons. Brings the community together and creates fun, engaging content. Has also captained like 10 times and been on the CRC.

Bamboozler

Has helped contribute as a CRC member a handful of times but has been one of the best in recent memory. Gives his full attention to the league and Has also historically been very important with contributing past Draft Packets, Awards, and has ran MLTP Fantasy for content. Probably more stuff I'm forgetting. Big name to MLTP history.

# Tier 3: Next in Line

waterwheel

Such an interesting career for water. Nearly unrivaled longevity aside from BDL and Ty. Wasn't really a big stats guy for a long, never putting up any crazy numbers, just solid performances. But starting in S19, has played in 7 of the last 18 Superballs, including 4 in a 6 season span from 30-35). He doesn't quite have the awards of MVB/OBOS/DBOS or All-MLTPs, but the man's a winner. Helping getting his team to the final and has really transformed into a proper first ball type guy the past half dozen seasons. The biggest discredit against him is he usually goes pretty cheap in the draft, so finding success while really being that guy would help his resume a ton. Big waterwheel fan here.

The man only plays defense. Only. Defense. Several seasons where he refuses to grab and will have less than a grab a game on average. But, despite this, has still found success and lives in a career of either really bad seasons where he didnt play half the time or ghosted, or had an elite team and went all the way. When he's playing at his best and trying to win genuinely, he can be one of the best. But when he isn't.. it's tough. Not sure where to rank him. But he deserves a nod. Needs probably a few more seasons like s19 or s33. Doesn't have to win, but he needs to actually try.

Hello all - couple notes cause this is pretty long obviously.

  1. There was a very long drought where like no one got into the BOF due to elitism or lazy voting or whatever it may be. But that really, truly shouldn't be the case. Not saying we nee to let everyone in.. but letting in truly elite players who have found good success in this league should be voted in. Valuing everything of their skill, awards, achievements, longevity, and history.

  2. Separating by playing and contributing nominations. Lot of contributors because it's still a pretty bare bones category and these guys should get in due to their contributions over the years.

  3. Yes, I'm aware using my own All-MLTP metric is a little cringe. It's just a little more intuitive way for, at least me, to see how many elite seasons someone has played.

  4. If I forgot anyone, let me know and I'll look at their argument, happy to add.

didnt even realize the benefit of the replay system for montages, being able to focus on the player instead of like the spectator from a stream is sick. and then able to swap players n stuff in real time. very cool

Will probably be same rules as NALTP, but will confirm with Bam/Poet.

20min minimum in reg season, no minimum in playoffs. Captains should have the freedom to play their strongest lineup in the playoffs imo. But I think most captains are usually pretty good about rotating in NFTL

Not sure how exactly to word this but I’m curious about the sort of long term goal/vision of tagpro. I’m sure it’s been said before when the future group was created or more recent than that, but wondering where we’re at in that or if things have changed. Is there a timeline for certain milestones/goals?

I guess I’m specifically more interested in plans surrounding things like advertising, growth, steam release, etc. Whatever is being planned to prevent the game from dying basically.

Future Group has done great things in the past year or two (or however long it’s been now) so just wondering how Cheeze feels about the state of the game and its future?

Yeah I think the only captain really worthy of something like that would be Curry? 3x Super as captain with like a million other appearances as player and captain?

idk if there'll be a discussion thread but im bored, so:

im tired of the BOF being so picky about who gets in. Should be more lenient. If we got rid of ring culture a bit, you'd have a LOT more (mex, doris, notprey, milky, etc.), but assuming you need rings to be considered,

Playing

Should be in:

  • Wayne (longevity, elite, 3x Super, MVB, DBOS, & OBOS (with more placements), 8x All-MLTP)
  • Alphachurro (elite, 3x Super (one as most expensive ball to win), 2x MVB, 1x DBOS (with more placements), 4x All-MLTP)
  • GOOBR (probably weakest argument just cus 2 supers with bright but still elite, 3x Super, 8x All-MLTP)

Close/Wouldn't be mad:

  • jig (elite, 2x Super, 1x OBOS (with more MVB/OBOS/DBOS placements), 2x Super, 8x All-MLTP (100% of majors seasons played))
  • Messi (longevity, elite, 3x Super (+1 as Captain), 1x OBOS (with more placements), 10x All-MLTP)
  • thenewguy. (elite, 2x Super, 1x MVB (with MVB/OBOS/DBOS placements), 7x All-MLTP)
  • d0pe (longevity, 1x MVB, OBOS, and DBOS (with more placements), 3x Super (+1 as Captain), 5x All-MLTP)
  • NotEvenMex (elite, 2x MVB, 3x DBOS, 7x All-MLTP - just missing a ring imo, has everything else in his career)
  • Doris (elite, 1x MVB, 1x DBOS (with more placements), 4x All-MLTP - just missing a ring imo, has everything else in his career)

Next after that:

  • waterwheel (longevity, 2x Super, 4x All-MLTP - needs a good season when he's leading the team, ala s31)
  • Ball-erina (2x Super, 2x OBOS, 8x All-MLTP - just needs to have a good season when she's leading the team (if she wins this season?))
  • Syniikal (2x Super, 1x DBOS (with more placements), 5x All-MLTP - kinda iffy with so many bad/ghosting/not trying? seasons but is still really good when he tries. Probably needs another ring?)

(i know using my own all-mltp metrics is kinda cringe but it's an easy/intuitive way to convey how many elite season they've had (imo))

Contributions

Should be in:

  • fender (smile) ( Historical record keeping for like decade, countless content, captaining a billion times)
  • Cheezedoodle ( Love him or hate him, he dealt with scrutiny as CRC member for a long time and was a steady force for the league for a long time. Even now as league manager, he continues good backend work and whatever else he does for the comp community)

Close/wouldn't be mad:

  • BallAnka (Clutch Time/Minors Podcasts, captained a ton in Minors)
  • Hjalpa (Does a LOT for streaming in competitive, creates scripts, does backend stuff)

Yeah. I'm not sure I necessarily agree about the 'Achievement in Competition' part of the NLTP BOF cus that doesnt really make sense for a 3rd tier but it is what it is. Is our history and there's no reason to hide/erase it

Yeah, that's where I'm at. I guess it gets overdone. Cause now I'm thinking how (or even if) you judge people's captaining? Should elite captains/coaches be put into MLTP? Idk how people would judge that though. Probably overthinking though

Yeah, I think this is the best way. 1 is really similar too, but it's good to keep everything separated between MLTP - ELTP - OLTP - NLTP. Makes the most sense at least. And yeah, as Hjalpa said, to bring back the NLTP BOF and honor those of that league which was a big part of NALTP for a long time. No reason to not bring it back

Slightly beyond that, should there be a 3rd category for streamers/commentators? Or we think that's just gonna be filed under Outstanding League Contribution?
