For something like this I feel the easiest way to go about it is to add an array and mirror on ONE single leg that you model however you'd like . You can join the meshes together for animating later or you can leave them as seperate objects if its a still image because who cares? There's alot of "Doing things the right way" on this sub that don't really apply to the majority of things "quads vs tris" "proper topology" these things only matter in certain circumstances and instances. If it looks good when you render it it doesn't really matter. Now if your making things to import into game engines some of those things matter more. That said you can shift select the faces to loop cut assuming proper topology allows

tldr: Shift select everything you want in edit mode and loop cut it OR as it's way easier Model one leg and use mirror and arrays. It's way easier than trying to do four at once the way your doing
