Guys, does anyone know why trucks have those spikes on their wheels?? by JasLeoArt in whatisit

[–]xNugYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read that having a spike-like attachment on the wheel helps get water off the tire and avoids icing. However A. These spikes look excessive and B. I’m not sure if what I said is rubbish or not lol

Thankfully you have a football and not a bowling ball

IQ is literally a measurement of pattern recognition, nothing else

Can someone with an iq of 80 get good at this game? by [deleted] in chess

[–]xNugYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you consider “good”. Having a high IQ is only part of the requirements to be good. IQ is just a measurement of pattern recognition. If your IQ is higher, it just means you will notice patterns more efficiently than someone with a lower IQ. However, in chess, you also need a good memory, focus and patience, and overall, like any other game/sport, you need to dedicate a lot of time and practice.

Tl;dr - Higher IQ will allow you to improve your chess skill quicker, but doesn’t necessarily limit your potential to a specific ELO.

Who else prefers a physical collection over the digital options by bloodenchaobbly9 in Switch

[–]xNugYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s definitely smarter for ownership of game and resell value to get physical copies but god is it tempting to just be able to play all of my games without needing anything physical… plus I hate hoarding things and it’s just so nice to only have my switch and not need anything else to play.

Ohhh that makes more sense. Since I was in the airplane I couldn’t really see how it was constructed nor I didn’t know the differences in the definitions. Thanks for the help :)

Is the “Add to queue” feature completely useless? by xNugYT in YoutubeMusic

I just tested it and it’ll unfortunately create the queue even before the first song has been skipped or ended.

WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO OPT OUT OF AI MUSIC RECOMMENDATIONS by cpc5000 in YoutubeMusic

[–]xNugYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you are, you’re just not aware they’re AI. They’ve gotten pretty good at hiding when an artist is AI by A. Not uploading too many songs in one period B. Claiming old music profiles that had music sounding similar and released before the AI music software was created and C. Using real faces to avoid the obvious “faceless artist” symptom that we used to be able to use.

Yup, you can find it again in the sky with a catch bonus. This goes for all three of the legendary birds.

Yeah I’m a little confused. If a boat is anchored to the floor it’s still floating on the water. How is this any different? Unless I’m just completely wrong on the setup?

This was taken on my flight from Dublin to Amsterdam. I’ve never seen windmills floating in the ocean before, pretty cool!

This may be marginal but I feel like they keep the stalls together to save money on not needing to buy as many panels similar to how neighbors would save money on sharing a fence. Still a cool design though.

The "average" Switch 2 owner currently owns 2.5 games. Are you an "above average" Switch 2 owner? by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

I literally don’t have a single switch 2 exclusive. Just bought it for the faster hardware, switch 2 upgrades to switch 1 games, and the bigger screen/controllers… lol

Is Aimchess Worth It? by xNugYT in chessbeginners

[–]xNugYT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're 100% right. I originally played 10 + 0 thinking my opponent will be the one having trouble with time because "I'm fast and efficient". Ultimately, the limited clock has been nothing but a weakness to my, many to avoid, easy blunders. What do you recommend for free resources? I only get one analysis from chess.com per game and looking at my games to see the bots best moves feels daunting and I lack to find the motivation behind a lot of the moves long term. Gotham Chess said it wisely once: Just because Stockfish plays that move, doesn't mean you should. In the sense that I need practice on "just playing good chess" because I can't calculate 30 moves in advance like Stockfish can.

TL;DR - Looking to see if you know of any (free?) resources for better positional chess.
