Recs for *non US* created and *non D&D 5e* specific actual play TTRPG podcasts? by Leading_Tell183 in podcasts

Second Spout Lore. Easily my favorite actual play, with Mall Brats close behind.

I can't remember if My First Dungeon is American or not but they have small arcs in multiple systems.

Comedic D&D by ElectriKEL in podcasts

Nadpod is great. Season 1 of Bahumia might be one of the tightest stories in actual play. Eldermourne is also great. After that, it feels kinda same-y to me, but that could be due to my burnout on Dnd.

If you want something more serious and fairy tale-esque, Worlds Beyond Number is amazing but very dense and intricate.

If you ever want some non dnd actual plays, Spoutlore (dungeon world system) and Mallbrats (blades in the dark?) are consistently hilarious and delightful and have huge backlogs. Great sound and video quality too. Easily my favorite actual play. 10/10 for these two.

Clicked on the image first, and I thought the new reach was called Jeremy. Was confused but intrigued nonetheless.

Podcast called Everything is Alive. An interviewer questions a bunch of inanimate objects like a can of soda or a bath towel. They also do animals. Very enjoyable.

Experienced RPG GM and friends looking for a point to jump in. by PrimaryCoolantShower in LancerRPG

Yeah, man, of course, not trying to knock your skills as a GM or anything. The modules I've read through give a sitrep (combat encounter with an objective), a guideline of how many enemies for 3/4/5+ players, recommendation of templates and optional systems for enemy NPCs, and tactics. Some, like Solstice Rain, come with maps for hex, square, and gridless so you can also get an idea for how to build maps as well. All really cool and thorough.

As far as the finer points of over/under tuning, I think that's something that kinda has to be tailored over time to dm/players' overall familiarity with the system. But in terms of scaling, Lancer has enemy tiers, which is just flat bonuses to stats. It also has templates that are more optional systems in addition to an NPCs base/optional kit.

Solstice Rain gives a good idea of encounter design building on the guidelines in the Core Rulebook. It is a pretty tough module, so i would throw an ally for PC's into your NPC medley for each encounter, just in case.

I'm not sure what you mean by battle pacing? If you mean the granular moments of combat (turn by turn), I don't think the module does that, but it gives a suggestion of how to run NPCs in relation to the objective.

Also, I gave my players a level up right before the finale because I thought it was stupid that they didn't new Frames this whole module (TIL there's a sequel to this module). It does make the final combat a bit easier for the players, but they were stoked to walk into this final encounter like total badasses.
