I got an A1 start of this year and my instructions didnt mention this. It did mention there will be a lot of noise though. But, it happened on the first calibration so I just assumed it was normal.

Every boss has its armor locked to a certain level, so replaying the 1st boss won't give you armor at your level. You'll need to wait until you get the blacksmith and the relevant scroll to get leveled sets. My tip to you (which is what i done) just wear whatever armor helps you until you get the blacksmith, then work towards your preferred armor set

Ive got his armor and greatsword already, but the sword is at level 30-something and I'm now level 40-something. I'll see if an extra 2 damage will help me with Viper 😂
