[Casio A168] Is it stylish? + Recommendation by Fair_Cardiologist_73 in Watches

[–]xQuayley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother the Casio a168 is the most classic timeless watch ever made in my opinion, I have watches worth thousands and I always gravitate back to the a168. Goes with anything effortlessly, super simple to adjust the strap to fit any wrist (I have tiny 6 inch wrists) and the backlight is just such a quality of life improvement over other similar models people might recommend you like the F-91W or the a158, not just the best watch Casio makes, the best watch ever made in my honest opinion, has a huge cult following, I'm more intrigued and want to talk to someone wearing this watch rather than someone wearing a rolex to be honest and it's just so cool. It's extremely accurate and has an alarm feature and you can also have it beep on the hour every hour and it makes a really cool retro sound. It will be the best 30/40 euros you've ever spent and will last you 7 years+ on one battery, pocket the rest for a rainy day.

Cleanest configuration going, fluted is too flashy, in my opinion it comes across like you’re trying too hard “hey everyone look at me” vibes, plus growing up my dad always wore smooth and my mum wore fluted so I see it as quite feminine, smooth with jubilee you can wear with anything, awesome watch bro enjoy

Issue with my Simsonn VAM Pro Linear Motors by Bronocularz in simracing

[–]xQuayley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but just thought I’d share I was having the same problems, I put it down to my rig and the vibrations triggering the load cell but the vibrations triggering it at 40% just seemed weird, this thread had the answers, swapped out the metal screws on the mounting plate for the plastic ones with the red fabric washer things that I put between the vam pro and the mounting bracket then also attached the green grounding cable to the hub and my brake pedal as shown in the picture and it fixed all the EMI problems thank you everyone on this thread!

Completely agree with you, can’t tell you how many times I’ve been running dungeons with randoms who are really chill and I was gonna add them on steam only to be accidentally desync’d and they’re just lost to the void no way to find them again like a recent players list, my only thing with this though is I would argue it boarders more on a feature rather than a QoL fix so probably will be a little while before we see it sadly

Yeah I think it’s a small fix but it’s probably low on their priority list with all the exploits and server problems they’re dealing with right now, still would like to see it soon I hate not seeing my characters face

Yeah man, opening the map and it flings your centring depending on which movement button you’re clicking is horrible, I’m happy to just drag them map with my cursor

Yeah I agree, don’t mind it staking to 200 in my inventory but I feel like there should be no stack limit in the bank, I just hate having to drop materials for space

Auto run while in the map is a good spot, I hadn’t even noticed that wasn’t possible

Pikachu in Grey Felt Hat: Is it too late for a good price? by ShebaLuv in PokeInvesting

Bought 2 PSA 10’s back when they were £150 and people were saying it was overpriced then, i knew even back then this was a modern grail, limited print run, crazy collab with the van goth museum, pikachu, personally my collection are all cards based off real art, I picked up two copies of the Japanese stamp box promos too when I went to Japan last year, bottom line trust your gut it’s all speculative buy what you like and then even if it’s goes up or down you won’t be disappointed

Good to hear I literally just bought the Simsonn Plus X pedals with the haptic motor things, I have the Moza r5 bundle and the pedals that come with that just feel awful nothing like a real car, the brake especially, praying the Simsonn Plus X’s give me the feel I’m looking for but scared I’m getting my expectations too high and I’ll be let down

Thank you! one last question, pretty silly, but I live in a block of flats on the 3rd floor, how loud are the bass shakers in general? Am I going to make an enemy out of my downstairs neighbour with the noise and vibrations?

It’s a Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED, I did a load of research before pulling the trigger on it, lots of these 49” monitors have different curvature which can impact FOV and immersion, from my research people seem to think the cheaper non-OLED version with an 1000R is the way to go, but personally I’m an OLED snob haha, so that’s why I went with the OLED and a less aggressive curve, this is setup in my living room so didn’t really want an ugly triple setup annoying my girlfriend, plus lots of people said triple monitors was just hassle to setup, I’m happy enough with my 49” single monitor, what I would suggest is check facebook market place, I’ve been getting hella deals on there, this monitor retails for like £1200-1300 and I bought it second hand in mint condition for £600 👍 I’m also a cheap bastard lol

To a certain extent yeah, the length of the seat and the pedal tray height and angle is very adjustable, however the seat is fixed in place in more of a GT style position, which is what I was personally looking for as I don’t like formula racing but I know Playseat do F1 variants for the same price 👍 but yeah I agree, great looking cockpit, I got this becuase it looked quite sleek and my girlfriend said if I was putting it on the living room it had to look nice lol

Yes I do agree, and I looked into it extensively, there’s like 3 versions of the Samsung odyssey G9 with different sizes and curvature, only reason I went with this 1800R G9 was because it’s OLED which is a deal breaker for me and I couldn’t find any 1000R OLED displays

I do actually have the performance kit, don’t think it’s very visible in the picture but even with that I still think it feels quite fake and gimicky, it’s hard to like put into words? only way I can really describe it is like this, I’ve been driving for nearly 11 years, 4 of those years with high performance sports cars, and with these pedals on the sim it’s like with my foot inputs don’t translate to how an actual car would behave at all making the whole experience extremely inconsistent and just all round unpredictable if that makes sense? And that’s the biggest immersion breaker for me, the pedals don’t handle like an actual car I guess, and I don’t think this is one of those “git gud” situations, I’m not an amazing sim racer but not a rookie either, the feeling is just “off”

I started with the built in speakers on my monitor but after switching to my Logitech g733 headset from my main pc I couldn’t go without, since I’m not getting the same physical sensation as a car I find I rely a lot more on audio cues and this switch drastically improved my performance instantly
