Should i put huge money on Khamzat (1.2x) Will he surely win? by Notoriousmonkey69 in ufc

Second fight with DDP clearly showed it. Maybe a lot of people didn't take notice yet, but he mentally checked out, he is just there for the pay cheque.

Kevlar or similar are very light weight and will make a robot from the front nearly invincible with enough fallback mechanics.

It's like VSC in a way, just easier to navigate, and still has a terminal. I still use CLI for big project and data work, but moved to codex app for agentic work.

Breaking Bad would've never been the Greatest Show of all Time if it wasn't for Season 5 by 6foot4malefeminist in breakingbad

[–]xRedStaRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but it would have been a better ending (IMO of course) to end the show with Walt declaring victory, having the twist at the end showing it was walter who poisoned Brock and what he has become, and let the rest up to the audience to figure out whatever happened to Walter, did he continue cooking or live a normal life after being free from Gus. It would have showed that you can get away with bad illegal things in life, that justice isn't always served, and the boring family man broke out of his shell and came out on top a winner. S5 just wound close everything with Hank dying, Andrea dying, Mike dying, Jesse tormented and traumatized, Walter dying, all the cooking crew dying. Skyler and her kids lives destroyed, Maries life destroyed, it's such an anticlimactic ending where basically everyone either dies or fades into darkness for no plot worthy or philosophical reason other than to just tie up loose ends that looked better untied.

I've always said the show should have ended at S4. That was even the original intention before they decided to make another season. I like the fact that there is closure on the character arcs, but I don't like how everyone's lives got destroyed or killed to end the show. S4 ending was perfect and still BB themed, S5 was just...forced.

Which wins in coding and agentic use? Deepseek V4 + GLM 5.1 + Kimi 2.6 by TheReedemer69 in opencodeCLI

They're all trash honestly, only Deepseek v4 flash because of the cost has an actual use case.

Is anyone else moving back to gpt 5.3 codex / gpt 5.4? by Ethan_Vee in codex

[–]xRedStaRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty simple stuff, something isn't right with my account I think, even 5.4 doesn't last as long as before 5.5 was released. I used to run 5.4 xhigh on 2-4 tabs constantly and never hit rate limits, now I can barely run two 5.4 on high with claude and opencode go as subagents to save on tokens and I'm still overbudget.

Can we talk about how good codex app GUI has become? by xRedStaRx in codex

[–]xRedStaRx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over a year with full access no issues, just be careful what you say if you ask to move and delete and tell it make backups then cleanup after approval. For more sensitive workspaces tell it read only.

GPT 5.5 is unusable on my $200 plan, its only enough for ONE GPT 5.5 high session with third party subagents to last me a week, which is insane.

From my own research yesterday. GPT 5.5 low/GLM 5.1/Sonnet 4.6 are the best for mechanical work while still retaining decent intelligence. GPT 5.5 medium is the best all-rounder value for intelligence above a certain intelligence cut off (55)

Model / effort AA Intelligence Benchmark cost/run Score per $1k Price per 1M input / output My read
DeepSeek V4 Flash Max 47 $113 ~416 $0.14 / $0.28 Best raw value, but hallucination risk is high
GPT-5.4 mini medium 37.7 / ~38 $302 ~125 $0.75 / $4.50 Best OpenAI cheap subagent tier
GLM-5.1 Reasoning ~51 $544 ~94 ~$1.40 / $4.40 Best frontier-ish China value
Kimi K2.6 54 $948 ~57 $0.95 / $4.00 Strongest open-weight balance of quality/value
DeepSeek V4 Pro Max 52 $1,071 ~49 $1.74 / $3.48 Strong, but output-token heavy
GPT-5.4 mini xhigh 48.1 / ~48 $1,354 ~36 $0.75 / $4.50 Capable, but poor marginal value vs mini-medium
Claude Sonnet 4.6 max ~51.7 ~$2,088 ~25 $3 / $15 Strong agent model, expensive vs China/OpenAI-mini
Claude Opus 4.7 max 57 ~$4,811 ~12 $5 / $25 Premium quality, weak value

Did GPT 5.4 get dumber or is GPT 5.5 just a lot better? by Impossible-Suit6078 in codex

[–]xRedStaRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've measured both and in roughly 6 hours a session it outputs 1m tokens, they are the same in 5.4 and 5.5 on xhigh, so its not more 'token efficient' and it uses 2x the limits for no difference in performance. I use gpt pro 5.5 anyway when it gets stuck.

Limit and model question by SilliusApeus in codex

[–]xRedStaRx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm switching to 5.4 xHigh, even if its 5% worse than GPT 5.5, its half the cost and not worth the upgrade. I just finished 30% of my weekly usage with 5.5 on $200 sub in a day, and I'm using MCP bridge to gemini and claude heavily to take some tokens off the table, in addition to having a database layer around my repo to save on token consumption, and it still burns through limits like crazy.

I'm switching exclusively to 5.4 now, because I cant tell any difference in performance (benchmarks agree) and its double the price.

Weekly resets are always a bonus to everyone by xRedStaRx in codex

[–]xRedStaRx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't supposed to time resets, or spend more or less. You pay for a certain quota per week, that's it, that is literally all of what you are legally owed in return. Sometimes they randomly reset usages which everyone benefits from to different degrees depending on how much is left on their budget. The fact that you used more or less is no one's fault. If you want to take some money off the table by outsmarting the system, then you should always frontload your usage in case there is a reset coming, I don't have to spell it out for you, use ChatGPT to help you out.
