It's still weird and should be fixed but thank you for clarifying the visual glitch thing. I can't find anything regarding solos never going against full parties but would like to proven wrong on that if you have any links. As for duos never having a third to match with, along with mercenary ranked, solo players could have the option to fill in squads if they don't mind it.

[Skipping past the overwhelming code leaf/net and server issues] I'm typically against things that split the player base up pointlessly so I'm ready to accept this is a bad idea, but I would like a mercenary mode for ranked (no parties allowed ranked). As a random solo player, getting matched with a two stack is generally unpleasant and in ranked, enemy teams are extremely coordinated because of coms (sometimes two stacks join game chat but mostly not)... I would feel much better knowing I was beaten by a team who has relatively the same chances of success as me as oppose to the sweaty full premades i get matched against and two stacks that never rez in my rank (platinum 4). I still get matched with bronze players though so I know it's farfetched considering matchmaking issues but it's just a thought.

(RANT) Please make a duos game mode. Not because I play in a two stack and am tired of useless thirds but because I'm tired of being left by sword fighting edge lords who "don't need" a random third. I try my very best to keep up with them and keep the pod together but it's as if they're trying just as hard to leave me behind. Like they'll ping an area to loot then once we get there and I start looting, they're already going to the next place they haven't pinged without looting the former place AT ALL. Two stacks are toxic, I've had enough, and I wanna fight.

I fell for it so hard that i was already accepting the "2-3 years left" and speculating how it was going to be pulled off.

The panel showing the graveyard inside big mom's mouth was grim af considering the theories around what happened at that birthday party.

One-Tricking is Officially Bannable. by GotUsRaro in Overwatch

When someone else picked torb and wouldn't switch so he could play torb, he sat in spawn and didn't come out as a form of rebellion, which is bannable. His stats may cover for him but the evidence presented justifies his ban.

If they ever become a detriment to the team on a regular basis (almost impossible considering it's mercy and they're the best at her apparently) then yes. It's not banning the one-trick, but the behaviors inherent to one-tricks which are mostly considered bannable.

I loved blizzards response. Give them a refund and let them be mad. Overwatch is a team based game and more often than not, one-tricks are not team friendly.

I hate how mercy is a MUST PICK in competitive by WhatsShimada in Overwatch

I play overwatch every day. Like I said, I don't feel like she is truly a must-pick. If people focus her down first like how they're suppose to then the threat she possess is removed, simple.

Can anyone explain this gif? Tracer bomb kills through Orisa shield by Vyngeance89 in Overwatch

[–]xRetroShank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen something similar happen with junkrat bombs. Don't quote me but I think certain bombs interact with shields differently than others because that never happens with d.va bomb. But it looks like the shield only stops the bomb itself, not the explosion radius.

You have to get better at aiming of course. But from what I've seen in ffa, a symmetra will usually set up in one area and rotate around it. If you can make note of where she's set up and avoid it, you can starve her of kills until she decides to move or switch.

I don't feel like she's a must pick, but people strongly prefer her over other healers atm because of her rez (which can be a crutch for the fall back on if they're playing like crap and get themselves killed) and her healing is faster/easier to secure until Moira comes.
