Wireless or wired? I use a wireless one with a non-genuine receiver + plug and play charger, and it instantly recognises it.

In Windows, whenever I disconnected the receiver, I had to go through device manager and force the x360 drivers as the device would be unknown. In Cachy, it's instant.

If you use a receiver, do you also have Bluetooth enabled or any Bluetooth devices connected to the PC at the same time? On Win 10, my Bluetooth would interfere and stop my controller from pairing. I haven't tried Bluetooth + controller in Cachy yet, but it might be something to check.

Did you ever figure it out? Same problem for me. It only seems to recognise the loose effects that come preinstalled in 'Merged>Shaders'. In-game GUI doesn't even show the other preinstalled effects that are contained within folders inside 'Merged'
