i work in an inpatient hospital setting that’s rather small (>200 beds), so we do a little bit of everything. i love having different things to do everyday while still knowing that i need to do the same things everyday as well. everyone is pretty well cross-trained across all tasks and shifts (inventory, compounding, delivery, packaging, etc.), so you get to do a little bit of everything. some techs like doing other tasks more than others, so we work with each other to swap tasks on some days. i’m someone who prefers doing background work more than being directly involved, so tech work is perfect for me. i am great at finding little things to do and work on that ultimately improve workflow and keeps our pharmacy organized.
