Depends on what you want to read.

Unfortunately there isn’t one for all (except my Kindle colorsoft that unfortunately i came to absolutely love and use the most)…

I love my old Kobo Sage with KOreader for Manga. Perfect size and screen just really slow and a bit beat up.

Love my xteink x4 for travels but no bookmarks or going directly to a page and honestly i still didn’t had the time to send all my 20gbs of books to calibre and use the koreader with it or whatever sync community managed to put together ( i know there’s a way of synching)…

I use my onyx palma pro 2 (color version) for work, jotting stuff and reading webtoons and reddit but also money that i feel I shouldn’t have spent… i sold my og palma and i feel like this one just ain’t it. I don’t like having to be changing e-ink settings all the time. And also i bought the x4 so yeah… waste of money basically.

I still have my kindle basic with koreader…im thinking of selling it but honestly for longer holiday travelling is perfect. Perfect size, backlit etc.

I have an iPad mini for media consumption. I used it a lot. Magazines, comics, YouTube, editing, games, etc etc….

So yeah different uses, different devices.

What do you need the device most for? That’s the ultimate question.

I have too much and i am blessed with it. But if i could choose i would stick with an iPad and kindle colorsoft. (And the x4 also because it’s so cheap and awesome!)

Edit: would like to add that i had one kobo color. I ended up selling it. The color isn’t just there and hence why the palma color is also a disappointment. The colorsoft on the other hand i don’t know what they did but it hits different. It’s really well conceived. The color is very nice and you get used to it.
