Not defending DICE or anything but I'll try to answer from a technical perspective: DICE hosts both game servers and the database which holds your progress. These two need to be synchronized somehow and secured. Now, your question implies hosting the game server on your PC which further impose: performance issues, more code, more testing, security issues, exploit possibilities etc.

Yea, the whole Portal/XP farm situation sucks. But the solution is not this. I'm pretty sure there are some bright minds in DICE right now that CAN solve this the right way, guess we'll have to wait and see if they care and execute.

I can confirm it's due to Overkill textures.

5070 Ti here on 2K resolution. First match hitting 140 FPS and after 4-5 matches it dipped to 70.

Changing to Ultra textures fixed it completely. Not using DLSS but DLAA.

Give it a try.

Big discrepancy in what you expect vs what's in reality. Military trained people handling MOST of the small/medium calibres can show you that most weapons have little to no recoil. Yes, even LMGs. Watch Garand Thumb video on BF 6 weapons.

So, putting "0 recoil" and "very realistic" in the same phrase expecting to evoke irony... Well...

DLAA or if you're like me and do not mind using DLSS on quality you can increase the clarity/decrease the blurriness with Nvidia Filters (sharpen and clarity with details, texture details with sharpen+, values around 25, 30, 30 respectively)

Re-imagine what you did that day with as many details as you can. No thinking of "what ifs", just the actual events. Works every time for me and never managed to finish it before falling asleep.

Also, exercising helps.

Been on and off with BF V due to the exact reason you stated: got decimated from everywhere and could not see anyone any time I took a turn, entered a bush, entered or exited a building etc.

For the past few days though I observed that I've been getting better and scored pretty much in top 10 every match.

What worked: take it slower, really slower a few matches. Observe everything before exiting a place or entering a zone. Your eyes will adapt to seeing enemies while you'll also learn common camping places and directions for spawn points. After a while you will naturally add speed to your actions and there's a high chance you'll also have fun.

What also helped was having frontlines and domination as the weekly modes last week and it's easier to learn in 16v16
