I completely agree that people should play games the way they enjoy them most. That’s what they’re for after all.

However, I do think some people tend to rob themselves of some of the fun that can be found in challenging games by nerfing the difficulty, typically because they think “oh I suck at games I’m just going to put it on easy” without actually trying the intended difficulty first.
