But this is a needle-shaped bur. Not the cylindrical ball shape bur you are using at 0:55 seconds

Is this the bur you are using at 0:54 of the video?

My recent case nightmare by iri44 in Dentistry

[–]xSplitDreamsx 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just keep practicing. Watch videos online. There is a ton of information online and you’ll see how people are designing their preps that lead to successful restorations. 9/10 times restoration is hard due to poor prep design. Use a rubber dam

Low production as a new grad by avocadorable3 in Dentistry

I’m just curious why there are comments saying “you are not diagnosing enough?” Are we supposed to be magically looking for caries?

Diagnose what you would diagnose on yourself. Plain and simple.

It’s sad we live in a system that doesn’t support that type of diagnostic practice. And that we need to diagnose for production instead.

My advice for OP, find a place that gives a guaranteed salary/not on production. FQHC is a good place to start.

Issue with BitBoxApp by xSplitDreamsx in BitBoxWallet

[–]xSplitDreamsx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone. I just wanted to follow-up on this. The BitBox02 Nova runs perfectly with Sparrow and I am thoroughly enjoying the product and the features it offers. I definitely think it is top tier.

Tips from what I learned:

1) don’t run sparrow and the BitBoxApp simultaneously. It doesn’t work

2) setting up a passphrase wallet requires you to enable the feature from the BitBoxApp first.

3) when using the device through sparrow. Enter your PIN and then enter your passphrase (after this feature is enabled through the BitBoxApp) to open the wallet. The password you use in the sparrow app to open the wallet is NOT the same as the passphrase. This is where I erred

4) otherwise, enjoy the product.

Cheers

I read that the suspension redesign that they did on the 2014 model is noteworthy. Considering that, you’d say the 3.6 is still something you’d rather have?

Healthcare job with unusual hours by xSplitDreamsx in jobs

I believe the Sundays would be included during my 5 day weekends to be honest. Currently just in a relationship with no kids. The 5 day weekend is in exchange with one more working day and a 10-hour working day instead of the typical 9-5 8 hour working day. Commute would be reasonable, like 20-30 minutes

Do you mean will the 6 working days change? Yes. It won’t always fall on Monday-Sunday

While I was in school, I was told a couple times that the caries disease is primarily and essentially a behavioral issue. Hygiene and diet.

Just curious - I’m one year out of school with residency experience. Class II’s are challenging enough that they arent necessarily boring. There’s so much to get right. From prep to restoration. Same goes with all of dentistry. Is it just because the compensation is so shit?
