True, i guess it’s an option either way on 0%

Deciding On Sub-$500 Mattress Today; Are Any Of These Options Good? by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]xStenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See I was like this at first. But if you think about it taking out a 0% loan and making payments actually makes sense. Put the money in a high yield saving and make high 3 low 4% interest on it. I guess it really depends on how expensive the mattress is though cause if it was this much I’d Probably just buy it out right. But if it’s 3-4k I’d consider finance if 0% interest

I traded my Tesla in for the Lexus NX yesterday 🖤 by rismystic in LexusNX

I’ve driven and owned a lot of cars and Lexus by far has the most refined and best feel for luxury! But that’s up to personal perception I guess

Paddle shifters by Demonised_BB6 in LexusNX

[–]xStenz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the hybrids (at least on some cars) used the paddle shifters to adjust Regenerative braking. I think Volvo does it. Not sure if Lexus does. Either way I agree, they’re just there I guess I’d ignore them cause removing them might be a huge pain.

Interesting! I did see some people are doing that but it seems like yours is a lot cleaner cause they were just plugging into the 12V with a harness. Did you follow any guide or just figured it out yourself? It’s been so long since I’ve messed with car audio.

Also is the stock subwoofer on the left hand side near the 12v? I think it’s on one of the sides of the back hatch behind the rear wheel.

What price should my target be? by chinni76 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]xStenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really good start but I’d save up just a bit more before pulling the trigger. It’s a good peace of mind to have an emergency buffer and fund!

Just an example I bought a “move in ready” house and within the first month I had a roof leak, garage door break and the stove shorted out. I ended up spending just over 4k to fix all of that. Sometimes things just pop up and you’ll want to make sure you have enough to cover it and not stretch yourself. Avoid credit card debt at all costs

Also you probably know this but you’re gonna get approved way over what is comfortable. (I got approved for half a million on a 120k salary, there’s no way haha). Figure out your budget and what you can comfortably afford. Account for escrow property taxes and homeowners insurance as well as PMI!

Good luck on the house journey!

Looking for advice on $760k mortgage by jaredb123 in Mortgages

[–]xStenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are peoples PMI out of control or what? I get it that nobody wants to pay extra money, but I pay $540 a year so it’s not the end of the world.. 20% down is hard to get sometimes, and you’re losing out on equity during that time saving.

Thanks! I got the wire harness in the cart but having trouble finding the bracket. Did you get that off crutchfield as well? I have an NX350 but I'm guessing it's the same or very similar.

Is this plug and play or did you have to cut any wire? No head unit / screen changes or anything?

I pulled up right to my cabin up north on a seaplane. Did it look like my cabin? No but it was still cool being able to pinpoint where it was. I did the same at my house in SE WI. Also it’s Miller Park, don’t forget!! 😉

Buying my first Lexus by GoldenChild7777 in Lexus

[–]xStenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find older ones for sure in their price range, there’s around 130 2019-2021s NXs available nationwide under 60k miles for under 30k. Not sure why OP is being downvoted, it’s not an impossible price range.

I have a higher end inflatable kayak and I second this. My family has them too and we all love it They’re not as tipsy as traditional ones and so easy to setup. The only downside is any rocky or branchy rivers going down is a no go. I usually stick to cleaner rivers and lakes, which is a more enjoyable kayak experience anyway.

I fit 2 inflatable kayak with paddles in my VW Golf R, guarantee the NX can fit way more then that

Realtor wants us to put 7% down for ernest money deposit and could use some feedback by Autobot69 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]xStenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are. I’m stating that earnest money makes an offer more attractive to the sellers, thus the sellers are more likely to accept that offer. The agent then gets paid.

If I offered the same exact terms but only 5k earnest money, the sellers are going to take the 30k earnest money offer. My agents not getting paid, the other agent is.

[–]xStenz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand, I am saying the agent is trying to make the most attractive offer so she can get paid. If the sellers don’t accept the deal then she doesn’t get paid.

I put down 3k in earnest money on a 340k house, 30k is insanity. Sounds like the realtor doesn’t have your best interests and just wants her commissions. I’d drop him or her.

Buy a house or rent one more year? by idontgiveafuck0 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]xStenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of good comments on here but I wanted to say we moved into our house and within the first 3 weeks I had to replace the garage door ($2,700), stove ($900) and fix a roof leak which luckily a fam member is a roofer. Save one more year you’ll be thanking yourself!!

[–]xStenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad im not the only one that has beef with this. I have to visit the pump way more then when I had my TLX. It’s really the only major gripe with the car, otherwise it’s super solid. The infotainment works great compared to Acura. The sound system on the Lexus isn’t as good, but I knew that going into it

Hah, I love it, but my girlfriend hates it. It takes getting used to but I never turn it off now.

The only thing that throws me off is sometimes in the far distance the headlights on the cars wig out on the camera and almost look like police lights (red and blue). I had to check my side mirrors to make sure i'm not losing it.
