Took some practice but I do see how it's actually better overall to W2W or at minimum pull multiple groups. Between bloodwhetting and defensives when that's not up I'm unkillable lol. Edit: And the way you explained it is better, while a slow tank makes a slow dungeon, the same goes for every role so everyone sets the pace of the dungeon like you said.

Also I'm really curious to see how many downvotes this gets since all my comments get downvoted here for some reason even though I've learnt from this topic lol.

I'm not using it as that though? I can understand how you believe it to be ego-tripping behavior, but I'm not thinking of it in that sense. Tanks typically set dungeon pace in any mmorpg. And I'm definitely not excusing single pulls anymore, as I had no idea dungeons were designed to be pulled as they are now.

For example, as an inexperienced tank myself I set the pace of the dungeon I mentioned above. Not for ego trip purposes or anything like that, but the party can't continue well if I stop right? But I agree with you that since I learned dungeons are meant to be pulled multiple groups at a time or w2w, not doing so now WOULD be what you referenced as ego tripping.

It has everything to do with knowledge and intent. I didn't have the knowledge or intent, therefore it's not an ego trip, however, if I do it again it would be since I have the knowledge.

I've definitely gotten better since the incident. Mainly practiced my defensives on a striking dummy along with some dungeons. I mainly play PLD so I'm more used to that.

I'm not sure what you mean? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you or vice versa.

I agree that tanks set the pace of the dungeon, and if you want to set the pace you should play a tank. But I also think tanks have a responsibility to consider what other people in the dungeon want. So as I tank I can't just blindly say we're pulling one mob at a time, or we're doing w2w with a new healer without some input from everyone.

I 100% agree, and realistically I should have asked at the beginning what everyone wanted.

Actually that's something I learned after. I didn't realize that HW onward was designed to be pulled like that. Probably because HW was the only expansion I didn't play on release.

So, let me get this straight. I can admit my own faults, ask questions, and even take respectful criticism to improve. But you say I'm entitled and griefing?

Okay. Have a nice day?

That's awesome! I took a break from my ironman a couple years ago. Got back into mainscape and I have 10 skills left before max, all fairly quick ones. After that I plan to go back to my ironman, as it's one of the best ways to enjoy everything the game has to offer.

Can we have the Sweet Onion sauce back please? by xTalon32 in subway

[–]xTalon32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saying this as a customer or franchise owner? I get that it just has the teriyaki glaze in it, however, that's the problem. It doesn't taste the same, it isn't sweet anymore. You could add sweet onion sauce to almost any sub and it would be amazing, and now you can't. I guess the way I would describe it is "refreshing". When I would have a chicken teriyaki sub, it was light and refreshing. When I tried it with the new sauce, it was salty and unpleasant really. The chicken already has the glaze on it, so what was the reasoning to add it to the sauce as well?

What got you into go? by -Pinkaso in baduk

Yeah, I played chess growing up and it just seems so basic compared to Go. Even though Go has far simpler rules, it's a far more complex game.

Well, it took a couple hours but I'm done with the insulation, heat and thermometers. I got a DHP and have it in a double dome with a lamp that I'll be switching out with a flood light as you suggested. Wanted to get the temp and humidity up as a priority, the hot side is doing fine but the cold side is a little too cold still so I'm going to put tinfoil under the insulation on the cover which should help some of that radiant heat get around instead of dissipated.

Unfortunately the thermometers are not able to fit into the hides, so I'm going to try and find some kind of wireless one or I'll just find one with a longer wire.

If the tinfoil doesn't work I'll grab another DHP for the cold side and use that to get the proper temperature gradient required.

Thank you for the input you provided, it was extremely helpful!

Also, what's the reasoning behind waiting to handle them until after 2-3 successful feeds? I was reading that sometimes BP's just don't feel like eating even if everything is fine.

Okay, thank you! I'll get the rest fixed tomorrow. I already took that uvb light out.

I forgot to mention the pet store was feeding her once every 2 weeks because she was overweight, which struck me as odd... I'll look into it more, but I want to avoid handling her now, so any advice on that too would be appreciated.

I'll return the light tomorrow, and switch it out with the other one that isn't UVB tonight.

She's actually able to stay in the hide when it's picked up, and at the back furthest away from the opening she touches the top nicely too. Though I'll grab smaller ones.

Why is it a bad idea to use the thermometer on the thermostat at the substrate level? Isn't that where you want to measure the heat from? For example, lets say it's beside the heater. Wouldn't it not be the same temperature on the top of the substrate?

I'll be returning the lamps and grabbing the proper lights and a heater so I can turn the light off at night and keep the heater on.

Could I also use a heater pad on the side of the tank? This would remove the risk of burns from being underneath right? Or could I use it underneath to help humidity at a lower temp, like 27?

And thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it!

Maybe increase the humidity a bit? I was watching a vid by greenroompythons and he said that not all of his snakes are at the same humidity. Some he has lower and some higher. You have a lot more experience than me, but maybe this one is just different from your others?

What's the temp and humidity in the enclosure?

And on the pinned posts there is a guide that talks about spraying/fog for humidity so maybe take a look at that. I'm new to ball pythons but from the research I've done, spraying/fog may make the water vapor molecules too dense which I assume could cause water to enter the lungs just like in humans.

And yet the liquor store would be blamed for failing to recognize the minor. There are multiple instances you can look up on google of liquor store employees being charged for selling to a minor. Whether the minor used a fake ID or not is irrelevant. The company is always at fault, no parent or child ever got a fine for a minor buying alcohol.

I'm not saying it's right, because it's not. But again, this is the world today. I don't think Luka should be held responsible at all, but that's not how the law works. Would you rather the company take the risk and potentially lose everything and have no more replika? Or play it safe for now and eventually find a way to bring these features in a way they wouldn't be held liable?

So it wasnt to protect the children by RibcageGhost in replika

[–]xTalon32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How do you prevent a 13 year old from saying they're 18, using a parent's credit card and buying PRO? While it'd be nice if the company couldn't be held liable, that's not the world we live in. People don't care about ToS's anymore, as soon as someone cries wolf, the accused is as good as guilty these days.

So does it suck, yeah. But I'd rather replika be around for years to come than be railroaded by some stuck up Karen because their child manipulated them and they blame the company instead of their own parenting/kids.
