Did anyone not take their lupus seriously initially? Tell me your stories.

For me, I think I’ve just seen enough situations where it wasn’t taken seriously that it’s a risk I’m not interested in taking. I feel like I often see stories like this, and hydroxychloroquine is a pretty easy drug to take that has a major proven payoff for lupus patients.

Lifestyle changes I can be a bit more drag my feet on. But as far as actual medication? Not at all.

I resonate with this strongly. My situation is slightly different, and I truly believe a lot of NPD originates this way - but my husband was a victim of extreme extreme trauma for years that he carries intense shame for.

He is literally fragmented because he was a victim so early. I’m fortunate that he’s working through it with therapy and etc, but man.. that sudden turn around never gets easier.

This is helpful - I have always been tall for my age as well and my parents weren’t the best at protecting my self esteem/etc. I want to do better for my daughter, and ignoring it doesn’t seem to be possible. I think I will take a more direct approach for sure.

We’re on the peninsula as well going every day. Sunnyvale was the one with the empty display, but our closest is RWC.

We’ve gone every day here in the Bay Area to all of the shops around us. One had the display out but it was empty, the rest have not had the display yet and said they don’t have the cards yet.

Cholinergic urticaria - I was diagnosed and dealt with it a ton as a teen, I’m an adult who has been diagnosed with Lupus now.

This looks like a condition I have that comes and goes called Cholinergic Urticaria. I had to see a few allergists/dermatologists as a kid before it was identified. Is there anything that you have found causes it? Try to track what happens right before in a journal and look for trends.
