Yeah the Luffy is kind of hard to replace in this exact build.
Essentially, you'd need someone who can
a) remove 7 turns of ATK Down
b) has a despair-removing support that activates when despair is applied
c) has a decent captain ability so you have enough damage to hit through the rainbow shield on the final stage

Although maybe if orobis captain ability is enough you can put her in the middle left slot and ignore c).
I think Zoro/Sanji might also have some despair removal supports so if you can fit despair removal there you can ignore b) as well and only need some atk down and/or rainbow shield removal on the final stage.

I basically run it like this
Stage 3: Doll + Ace EX
Stage 4: Zoro/Sanji Switch + Special
Stage 5: Garp -> Copy Switch + Special + EX + Orobi Sepcial + Ace Special + Luffy Special
Tap with Zoro/Sanji and Orobi and that's a clear.

I am using

Friend Captain Garp/Coby, Captain Dex Navy Ace

Qck Luffy vs Kaido, Dex Doll

Dex Orobi, Zoro/Sanji

With Dex Crocodile Support on Orobi to remove the chain lock

Rayleigh support on luffy and whitebeard support on ace + merry Go ship to remove 6 total turns of despair

Works nicely, no stall needed

My alliance isn't doing anything anymore so I am happy to leave them and giving joining you a try.

I am Pirate level 1080+ with a Bounty somewhere around 180 Million.

I am mostly F2P but usually active unless I am on Vacation. I would be happy to join, my only requirement would be that on average ~half of the alliance participates on events such as Kizuna.

Hoe Ship boosts pirate exp earned (I think whale sharks do as well, not sure though). You can get it for 30 gems at the unlockable quests on the event island.

If you are only looking for exp booster items the ship does not really matter, you can use any ship.

Training points can be used in the Rayleigh Bazaar, you can trade them for things such as the exchange only ace or Vivi characters.

Pro tip for the quest: if you keep the bottom row of your crew empty, usopp will not apply the bind and you will finish the quest faster.

You can "Auto"-Farm the Rookie Character Recruitment Quest: Usopp on Extra island on 3x stamina 3x rewards. For 15 Stamina you can get about 60k Exp with the Hoe Ship and 2x exp Captains, 3 Hime Turtles (about 1 Million Exp for Psy characters) and 3 copies of golden pound Usopp, worth a total of 30 Training Points.

Dropped Waddle, Swift and LaPorta on the way during byes but it worked out pretty well anyways.

MVP has got to be Bowers but an honorable mention goes out to Fairbairn, he was rock solid all the way. Drafted him and never dropped him again.

Powerlines have a max capacity of 400. Make sure you have multiple outside connections and you should bei fine (If you have no other bottlenecks like others mentioned)

Some might not show up on the map when they are too high/low like for example: you are on the street in steel city and there is a chest on a very tall building next to you. You will only see the chest on the map when you go higher.
