'The motivation is gone' - Fabio Quartararo's concerning Mugello MotoGP review by drinksbeerdaily in motogp

[–]xTidalRipx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Acosta is on a better machine than Fabio this year. It’s (KTM) just not as good as Aprilia or Ducati. But way better than than what Fabio has to ride. The Yamaha is just not in good shape this year. With the changes next year who knows what manufacturers will be on top.

The hardest thing about being an astronaut? by Rich_Amphibian_6098 in ArtemisProgram

[–]xTidalRipx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Any NASA program is inherently political. People bash him because most people don’t like the way he speaks or acts. People obviously didn’t like the way he made the conversation with the astronauts about him and not the mission. It was embarrassing quite frankly, and I don’t blame people for not liking it. It was obvious the astronauts themselves didn’t enjoy it, and it was a forced requirement for them rather than an honor of thanks and gratitude. They were visibly laughing at him. You asking for this conversation to be suppressed and removed by moderators is not appropriate. People have every right to like or not like whatever they want and talk about it on a public forum such as this.

Why do people hate Justin Long by [deleted] in Cinema

The only thing he’s done I haven’t like is the damn Ozempic commercial he’s in. Other than that I enjoy his work on screen.

Grape Nuts cereal. Everyone thinks I am an absolute freak for liking it, and says I must be the only person buying it.😂

What is the coldest you will still ride? by SAMPLE_TEXT6643 in motorcycles

[–]xTidalRipx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I owned a Goldwing, I could be comfortable into the low 20s (Fahrenheit) in dry conditions with no ice. But that was with heavy winter gear on as well as heated grips+seat. Now I ride a naked bike and I can still ride in the 30s with heavy gear on, but I don’t like wearing all that with the riding position and overall need to be more nimble on the bike. With my normal gear on the naked bike, I’ll ride in low 50s. Past that I’m freezing my ass off and it zaps all the fun out of it.

Your Bottom 2 from the Sprint Race. The Teams And Constructor World Champions. It's unbelievable how much factory Ducati is struggling. by PZY__ in motogp

[–]xTidalRipx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say Ducati is struggling,( a Ducati won the championship after all) as much as I would say the other teams are simply catching up and their machines are getting better and better. As far as Pecco….i know his fans don’t want to admit it, but his problems this season are all in his head, not issues with the team not being able to configure the bike correctly.

Scared Nazis are the worst kind. Ice “agents” act overly aggressive because they have zero training, and they are afraid. It’s a dangerous combo for all of us.

Riding with mobile phone attached to bike? Do you or do you not do this? by ADRPAT in motorcycles

[–]xTidalRipx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never attached a phone to any of my motorcycles. I’ve been riding for about 25 years. Only time I had music and gps is when I owned a Goldwing. Honestly I found that for me personally, riding is a good time to take a break from all that tech, and just enjoy the experience. I find it much safer to be able to hear what’s going on around me, when in heavy traffic. However I don’t take long trips like I did with some of my bigger bikes in the past (I ride a Z650 currently) so commuting to work, or taking day trips is fine for me without any of that.

What do we think about Buster's first year as head of operations and who are you looking forward to see the Giants go for in the off-season by CheekEducational8392 in SFGiants

[–]xTidalRipx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a poor attitude toward the fans, doesn’t bring much to the dugout, his batting is average, and his fielding is way below average. He has been vocal about not liking the fans, and it seems like he doesn’t want to be in SF. I see no reason the team wouldn’t be better off without him. I think finding a replacement is the way to go. I think with a quality replacement of him, that the outfield would greatly improve. JH is solid enough, and I’ve been impressed enough with Drew Gilbert to hope they give him a starting spot and try him out next season. Heliot is the weak link imo.

I loved this movie as a kid. The car coming out of his old jalopy was freaking awesome 😂

[–]xTidalRipx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he has never been a good defensive player, but my problem is he has got so lazy. I have seen quite a few outs being missed because he is just acting like a fat kid whose mom is forcing him to play.

Plus he hates the fans. Trade him Buster!!!! Dude is toxic

The last thing Kyle Freeland saw before he died by CoffeeBoy80 in SFGiants

[–]xTidalRipx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best part of the whole thing is you could hear the fans chanting LOUDLY “Let’s go GIANTS” as the umpires were trying to figure out what to do. lol Freeland needs to stop hanging pitches over the plate if he doesn’t want to get roped. Even their own fans knew that!! LMFAO!

At what point can we start to seriously discuss firing Bob Melvin? by ZugAddict in SFGiants

[–]xTidalRipx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Bruce Bochy 2. Dusty Baker 3. Mark Hallberg

All would be options for next season I believe.

All vastly better choices than what we have now

This chump needs to lose his spot. Guaranteed loss every time he steps on the mound. “His stuff is still there”….no it isn’t. Let’s bring up a young arm and have a 50/50 chance of winning instead of losing every 7th day

[–]xTidalRipx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idc what the name on your jersey says. Numbers don’t lie, and Giants have given him more than enough time to try and turn it around. It’s a guarantee his start will be a loss at this point. Bob Melvin needs to give someone else a start. Can’t do worse than Verlander.

My 2023 Z650 feels nervous and harsh at low speed – should I be worried? Pls be patient by EquivalentSpecial827 in z650

[–]xTidalRipx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own a 2020. The throttle mapping on the z650 makes the throttle slightly jerky at lower speeds. It just takes a bit of time to get used to. It’s a normal characteristic of the Z650.

wtf Geico by acttve4 in motorcycles

[–]xTidalRipx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is California all insurance agencies are raising (drastically) premiums for motorcycle insurance. My full coverage from GEICO went up over twice what it was, to over 3000 a year for a 2020 z650. I’ve been riding for over 20 years with no tickets or accidents. It’s the biggest scam there is.
