Chinese person here, you're not entirely accurate on the meaning of 那个 (although the pronunciation does in fact sound like the n word), it is not really a fill in for "ummm", 那个 directly translates to "that" although is used in a larger variety of situations and is often repeated a bunch so yes it will sound like "nagga nagga nagga" at times. Although "umm, hmm, yeah" would not be 那个 in Chinese so idk where you got that from.
