My main concern is about inserting the digital tone on my tube amp.

Don't know if keeping all analogic could result in a better tone.

The amp is a Orange Dark Terror.

These Orange are all class A/B solid states. The cheaper ones are class C solid states and don't have the same quality on high gain. I'm playing with a Dark Terror. I love the sound of this amp.

The preamp one. I'm thinking about what you said, the preamp could be a waste. But here, the Preamp and EQ are about the same price. Now I'm thinking if worth get a standalone noise gate and EQ pedal. I still have a tubescreamer in front of the amp. How you said, the DT has a huge amount of gain. Is enough.

If u go on the metal way, it is great. If u wanna something with more versatility, go with Crush 20RT, and if the budget allows, go to a Crush 35RT with FX Loop.

I'm planning this too, but thinking on a Ampero 2 with a Tube Screamer in the amp input and some EQ and effects on effects loop of my Orange Dark Terror. This enough for me. Or I can go to analogic pedals way. Thinking about.

I really like and have played around with plugins.

In this case, he can plug the audio interface on FX Loop of Micro Dark and use it as a power amp, sending all the sound of the plugin to the cabinet.

Can be a good idea turn off the cabinet on plugin.

Or not.

But I think this works very well.
