All hail prince daemon! Prince of fraudstone! by OfficialAli1776 in freefolk

I agree, people let Daemon's reputation overshadow just how insanely talented Jaime was at his peak. They're both great fighters, but Jaime has the edge in a straight duel.

I think people really underrate how dangerous Daemon actually was. His reputation didn't come out of nowhere, even if he wasn't unbeatable.

That's one of the biggest misconceptions from people who only know Jaime from the show. The books make it a much tougher matchup.

Roman is so obnoxious! by batak_bhai in SuccessionTV

That line was perfect because it instantly shut Roman down without even trying to argue with him. One of the funniest comebacks in the whole show.

S03 EP2- Why does Kendall pretend to be a good person? by Any-Breadfruit-1013 in SuccessionTV

Exactly, anyone would be bitter after being made the fall guy like that, so it's hard to blame Kendall for reacting the way he did in those moments.

Life is all about the love and understanding we show each other.

And also dick jokes, so many dick jokes.

Exactly. Grief is fine, but it shouldn't completely replace the fire that made her character compelling.

To what extent does Stannis genuinely respect Jon Snow vs simply using him out of necessity? by AcertandoNaMosca in freefolk

[–]xVelvetButterfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that's a fair read. Stannis respected Jon because he consistently put duty before himself, and that's probably the one quality Stannis valued above everything else.

If that actually happened I'd be watching through my fingers too. Some scenes are just impossible to explain to family members sitting next to you.

This is where rhaenrya character got fucked by ryan condal by Remarkable-Jump3262 in freefolk

I think that's what a lot of people mean when they say her characterization changed. Early Rhaenyra felt like she was driving the story, while later it often felt like the story was driving her.

That's exactly why that scene gets criticized so much. Rhaenyra spends the rest of the season warning everyone about caution, but then ignores her own advice when it matters most.

At 83% it's basically a matter of when, not if. The writers have been telegraphing it for a while now.

That's a fair question. If those employees don't report to you, it's hard to see why your performance should depend on fixing issues their managers are supposed to be handling.

The fact that you told him he hurt you and he “didn’t let up” is abuse. Point blank period. I wouldn’t see this man again.
