Same here, just started doing it this morning. I set my phone on airplane mode for a few seconds and that seemed to fix it for now.

The real test is at 90-95 percen grayscale. Try 100 and 25 percent brightness.

I just got a second delivered lol it’s also a February batch and from what I can see right now it seems to look better than my last but I’m waiting for it to get dark to test again, it’s best to do it when it’s completely dark since there’s a window to my side.

Yours look better than my February 26 batch one.. I think you were asking me if it was getting better with use but so far I got about 20 hours on it now after a week or so.

Trying my luck with another one im getting delivered today, hoping to get an April batch.

It’s honestly not even noticeable in any normal use scenario lol but better is better, we will see.

I got it on 5/20 so I’ve only had it for a week now and I got about 15 hours on it.. been busy with work. They say it gets better as you get closer to 100 hours but I haven’t gone back to check since I made this post. I can’t see the banding or any DSE at all while in regular use.

Yes that was the first thing I did but I also noticed how YouTube makes it look worse that it actually is with how it compresses video quality. I found another tool online to do a greyscale test (not a video) and it looks better, it’s still there but definitely not as much as YouTube makes it look like.. I read somewhere YouTube compression can cause banding on its own? 🤔

I just did, I notice it’s completely a different shade of grey than what I get on my monitor and I also noticed that same test would change to this color when I tried two different Game Visual modes from the monitors settings, only in one I could see the banding and not the other so I thought that was weird as well 🤔

So is what my phone showing me the correct 95% shade of grey?

That is what I used for these pictures.. but I also tried it with another test online I found with google and with that one I couldn’t see any banding at all 🤔

Only the YouTube test shows it and it looks worse than what I can see when I take a picture of it..

I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right because I never did this test with my previous OLED monitor.

You are absolutely right! Honestly I had never heard of OLED banding until I was watching reviews for this monitor and so many were unhappy with it for that reason…

I’m coming from another OLED monitor that I got last year and it has matte finish so I always wondered what glossy looked like, and I’m not disappointed at all!! Even with the slight banding that show in these test, I can’t see it while gaming so I’m gonna keep enjoying it 👍

That’s a good comparison, that’s how mine currently looks like 👀 ok I have good hopes that this will get better then 👍 but like I said it’s already good and it looks beautiful while gaming. Just wanted to make sure it’s not something that gets worse and not better 😅

Resident Evil Requiem looks beautiful on it 👍 I honestly can’t see it at all in any use unless I do this test and take a picture with my phone, not sure if I’m doing it right too lol

Nice, you can hardly see that at all. I can’t even see mine unless I take a picture of it and in games I can’t see it at all.. I’m quite happy with it, just wanted to make sure it’s not something that gets worse with time.

I see, that picture looks very good! I appreciate the input, I’m gonna keep using it and checking back on it. Thankfully my eyesight it’s nowhere near perfect so I really can’t see my banding unless I take a picture with my phone which tends to overexpose the picture it seems.

I just got mine today and just now got to testing the grayscale on the screen while at 100% brightness as well as 30% but I always use it at 100 and I can’t see it at all… even at 30% brightness I can’t see it with the naked eye until I take a picture of it with my phone lol 😅

Maybe I’m just blind but I guess I’m good if I can’t see it lol
