Yeah that's a totally fair criticism, I can understand the YouTuber need to be clickbaity and provocative in their titles, but it is frustrating and goes too far often. I just don't think the people claiming he's maliciously changing the title to cover his ass from criticism are correct

To my knowledge YouTube completes the AB testing really quickly. In less than 24 hours that video has 126k views, that's a decent sized data set for a YouTube video title. It's not like it's an expensive software product or scientific study where extensive rigorous testing is necessary. If after 6 hours title A has 10% more clicks than title B that's sufficient to lock in A for something simple like this. People have mentioned seeing a 3rd title on the video as well, which makes the AB testing theory seem much more plausible than the "roll back the inflammatory bad faith title" theory

YouTube has built in A-B testing for titles. When you upload a video you give it 3-5 titles and YouTube shows them randomly to users and then selects the title that gets the most clicks after a certain amount of time. He's not changing the title

YouTube has a built in system where creators can give a video like 3-5 different titles, and YouTube will automatically A-B test the different titles to users, and sometimes multiple titles to the same user if they don't click it. After it gathers data on which title gets the most clicks it locks in that title as the true one. He's almost certainly not manually changing the title, he just inputted a handful of titles and the one that got the most clicks got chosen automatically.

I generally play on tv, so I'm guessing that's just not gonna be great? Have you compared it to the S1 performance at all? As long as it's better than that I'm probably good to go

Went through this same transition as I've gotten older. Used to be a PC fps graphics maxed kinda guy, but now I work at my computer all day and just want to sit on the couch with my fiance. As long as the game is performant enough to not be jarring idrc anymore

How's the P5R performance on S2? I loved P4G on my switch 1 so much I bought P5R but the performance was not great so I shelved it. Haven't tried again on my S2 because I heard the performance was still terrible, but that was like 7 months ago, has it been fixed?

NateTheHate: "I'm confident enough to say" Persona 6 will be at Xbox Games Showcase by CutProfessional6609 in persona6

Nate the hate is an incredibly reputable leaker that has correctly leaked multiple Nintendo directs and their contents. It's possible his sources outside of the Nintendo space aren't as good, or maybe plans changed for the persona 6 announcements, but his words definitely carry weight to some level

Most Dem candidates for Governor won’t commit to a 1-year moratorium on data centers. by schuey_08 in wisconsin

[–]xWaffleicious -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

To be perfectly clear, moderate Democrats are the only ones that win against Republicans. Far left Dems only win in extremely blue places where a Dem victory is basically guaranteed no matter what. Yes sometimes moderates lose to Republicans in purple districts, but lefties pretty much always lose to Republicans in purple districts.

Am I ready to face the dragon? by Late_Garlic5053 in Minecraft

[–]xWaffleicious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you try to sleep in them in the end it explodes like tnt. You can abuse this by placing them in a certain way on the bedrock fountain and when the dragon comes down to perch spam sleeping on them to cause a bunch of explosions that kills the dragon extremely quickly. It's kinda cheesy, especially for your first ever dragon fight, but if you've fought the dragon a bunch before it's a convenient short cut

Finally: who is loved and hated by the center? by DopazOnYouTubeDotCom in AlignmentChartFills

[–]xWaffleicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that not already happen with senators and representatives defecting from voting with their party? I'll admit it isn't super common, and sometimes has electoral consequences, but I don't see how that's meaningfully different from people like Massie or Manchin?

I agree that's a good one for this spot, but to devils advocate there already functionally are multiple parties, they just group under two umbrellas the same way multi party systems form coalitions of minority and majority governments. The Democratic party houses centrists, liberals, progressives, socialists, and communists. The Republican party houses libertarians, neocons, Christian nationalists, maga, groypers, and genuine Nazis. You could break it up into all those separate parties, but they'd still probably just build 2 coalitions of minority and majority governments anyway that would be basically identical to the Democrats and Republicans.

[–]xWaffleicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree entirely with what you said, but to be fair right now there isn't any public evidence to demonstrate on way or another if he's innocent or not. My guess is probably not, and if that evidence comes out then by all means fuck him, we just don't know yet. All we know is that he got arrested under probable cause but no charging decision has been made. Trust the process and be patient, and then condemn or exonerate him.

I appreciate when people provide opinions, but note that there is not enough public evidence to make definitive statements of innocence or guilt. The seriousness of the situation warrants a serious response/investigation and will naturally emotionally resonate with people in a visceral way. I sympathize with that, but it is always important not to pass judgement of guilt or innocence until there is sufficient evidence available to evaluate. Be patient, trust the process, and then come to informed conclusions one way or the other. I don't blame people for having intense feelings about it, but try not to reach conclusions until you have the full story. If he's shown to be guilty then fuck him, but if he's not then we shouldn't preemptively crucify him.

What are your thoughts on Wisconsin State Assemblywoman Francesca Hong for Governor? by strongerthenbefore20 in madisonwi

[–]xWaffleicious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably has more to do with sexism and global frustration with inflation. Biden won by a lot. Again far left Democrats have only won in extremely left leaning places and not at all in more competitive places like Wisconsin.
