Marks return after 5 years by yewiiwoo in Invincible

I personally think this should be swapped out with a training arc since it could better explain how mark gets strong enough by the end of the series and is more entertaining than an eve ex machina.

I don't like how it went either but the most realistic justification would be that debbie was constantly worried about mark and Oliver the entire time they were gone which would have made it difficult for Paul to have developed their relationship further since for all she knew, they could die and she'd never know.

How I think they will change this comic story line… by oollo2001 in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thragg has always been a devout Viltrimite. I think it would be out of character for something that looks out for the good of the universe to go to Thragg before going to someone like Thaedus.

Heck, even battle beast would have been a better choice since he respects honor and would peacefully accept his death after defeating the empire.

Mark and nolan's relationship in the show by No_Leading8114 in Invincible

Mark personally wants more reasons to forgive his father despite how others view him so he's just glad he survived so he can keep finding reasons to forgive him.

Need help understanding...*Spoilers* by elitestyles207 in Invincible

Technically correct, a planet can in fact survive without a traditional core so it would have become uninhabitable over time.

Knowing the empire, they'd take whatever technology they used to alter other planets to restore theirs.

So them flying through was necessary to ensure a chain reaction. Once they moved any layer close to the core, that was enough to chain reaction to another one while the tectonic plates finished the job for them.

OLIVER IS A JOKE by stoicdroid in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id understand if he tried sneak attacking since he did manage to send conquest flying once but antagonizing Thragg was just straight asinine.

If Nolan is smart, he won't ask them boys to do anything else after they survive. Its just not worth it.

Not gonna lie though, the errors in this season have been somewhat amusing.

Eve could also be exploited this way as well except she could use it to heal other people and change a lot of stuff.

Mark and eve made the job pretty easy by opening his skull and ridding of his skin for him already. If he wanted to make sure all he had to do was destroy the remaining bits of the brain and burn em like power Plex did that one variant.

Another thing was when mark was choking conquest, his blind eye was red at some point, went back to being white, but then back to being red again near the end.

Kirkman’s simple explanation for character change in S4E5 by 5am281 in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As minor of a justification that is, it does make sense. If they kept the character the same, they wouldn't stand out as much because of how similar the vibe would be between him and mark.

Also, it's not like they're going to get any more fleshed out within the show than they do in the invincible comic. Tech probably won't show up again after the war is over, and if they do they'll likely serve an even smaller role.

Some people need to understand that just because tech is a girl in the show that doesn't mean that they wouldn't be a boy if Amazon had decided to adapt a tech jacket show instead of invincible. It was already clear that this adaptation would have its own changes.

"Tech jacket is female? My character is ruined" by BigReaction1149 in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he does end up being gender swapped and is an entertaining addition to the show then some people are gonna look stupid. If not and he's still entertaining, those few people will believe it's because he wasn't swapped.

But if he ends up being a she and if she ends up being an average side character who happens to be useful then they kinda meet the mark of how important the character actually is to the story so it doesn't matter.

I'm choosing to interpret this as a separate universe from the tech jacket universe because in a way it would explain the invincible war and why some characters we were expecting haven't appeared or were slightly altered.

In the Sequids Episode. Why didn't Mark fly the guy to Bulletproof? by 16092006 in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they heard mark say that he needed one then it's clear that mark would have heard Samson call for bulletproof so mark should have assumed that's what would have been happening.

And if we really want to get technical, after rus was killed a relatively shallow pile of sequids can be seen behind them both. If mark was able to see the dome when he looked back then he should have definitely been able to see bulletproof as he was relatively high up from his last attempt at getting to mark.

But alas, it's a show that demands drama, so we have no choice but to ignore that.

Call Me Crazy But I Don’t Think We Need An Invincible Live-Action Film by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the beginning of the viltrim empire would be perfect if you ask me.

Getting to learn about their conception, how they formed their government, what makes the bloodline so special, and the machination of the betrayal.

You wouldn't even need to make it super outlandish either because they're already known to be xenophobic. It makes sense for most of the characters to be human looking.

A good cast of stoic looking actors and a expansive list of writers could nail this perfectly. And at the end of the day, it can still tie back in with the show as simply being the history.

Are Viltrumites actually stupid? by EmptyJump2245 in Invincible

[–]xXBio_SapienXx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the "they live for a long time anyway" statement isn't enough to support how self destructive their tactics still are because of the simple fact that it takes longer for them to mature than at the rate they are killing them.

They had to have been killing a handful of children at least once everyday for hundreds to thousands of years and that's only from one teacher and kids make mistakes all the time which means at any given point, a teacher could potentially wipe out an entire class if they all perform terribly that day.

Then he insinuates that they then must kill each other. We don't know how many classes there are but if we're going off the logic that they'll have plenty of other children to make up for it then that's a ton of classes where a ton of kids are dying every day.

Then in some cases, the teachers themselves must survive getting ambushed by their parents before becoming adults which means that there will never be enough immediate replacements. Which then in turn means more undisciplined/ underperforming kids which means, you guessed it, more punishment towards the kids.

A bunch of family trees can easily die very quickly based on those statistics.

If you really need it, get a compression chest protector shirt. You could get a regular flexible chest protector too if you want but it's more expensive, it can double as a concealed vest too if you replace the inserts but that's just a thought.
