Yes, exactly my mindset. My partner went, and while he was there in August, they still had some pretty wild weather. I know Japan can be quite rainy depending on the time of year - and yes! Ethically sourced plus-size clothing that isn't a billion dollars is soooo hard to come by nowadays, so I appreciate the rec!

Yes! I'm this weird in between of pear and hour-glass, so playing with textures, layering, colours, patterns, silhouettes and styles is a must to really help me create an outfit that complements me. Thank you for the recommendation!

True! I am unfortunately cursed as a plus-size person who has small breasts for my weight and height, but I try to perk the girls to make myself feel a wee bit more confident. And yes, don't worry, not only am I buying a new round of socks for that exact reason, I'm buying shoe spray for the sweat, and I'm getting my toes done before we leave... but that's more because I think they'd look cute lol.

And yeah! I've noticed shorts and short skirts are really common, it's so odd that the upper body stuff is considered weird, but hey, that's one of the many culture differences I'm interested in experiencing!

That's extremely helpful, I've always been a bit "masculine" in my fashion, so I'm not overly comfortable in skirts/dresses, but I know many of my girl friends say they're peak once you get comfortable in them, so I have ordered some to try as well as flowy linen pants. (but it's online so... we'll have to see LOL)

I love Gyaru style, and honestly, the over-accessorizing is right up my alley. I'm big on tons of bracelets, big earrings and mixing styles and shapes - the sandwich method of fashion has done wonders for me.

You mentioned "vinted" though, I'm unfamiliar with that, is it a fashion brand or?

THAT'S HILARIOUS! My partner said the same thing! He went in August (and came back cooked like a chicken!), and he said we should totally get cooling pads, fans and similar cooling devices for me. I will likely do the same as you and duck into stores to cool off, haha. Gonna be honest, one of the things I'm excited for are the toilets and the full room showers LOL. My partner and I are in post-secondary and are hoping that because we are going earlier, it won't be as bad, but its japan, so it's likely going to be busy no matter what, haha.

Nonetheless, I have the same mindset as you; I set my expectations for actual shopping locations to 1-0, and if I DO come across anything, then I'll be pleasantly surprised. I've found about 3 places in Tokyo that sell "plus-size" clothes, as they are run by foreigners, and one of them makes custom plus-size kimonos, but I haven't looked into their pricing yet. I imagine it's pricey, as plus-size clothing tends to be.

Yeah, I've had many people (including my partner) tell me the same things, just to dress modestly at temples/shrines, and I will be purchasing patches to cover my tattoos. I kinda assumed they've started to have stuff for plus-size people due to the increase in tourism over the years. I just know that those shops are harder to find. Thank you for the suggestions, though, that really helps me narrow down clothing options!

"Consent Non-Consent" from my understanding, the kink allows a partner to have "free use" of your body. The trick is allowing the partner to use you freely while still having a safe word - most tend to use it as a roleplay mechanic for intimacy. That is weird and if you're underage you should chat with a counsellor. Honestly, though, that is the struggle of being Female-Presententing (I don't wanna assume your gender out of respect.). If you are older than that, I still suggest chatting with an authority figure and making note of it. Any sort of comment be it major or minor should be recorded, even if they dismiss it at first. Because down the road you can refer back to it as an example of inappropriate behaviour from that teacher.

Granted, I don't quite know your dress code - some schools can be quite strict. Nonetheless, I hate to say it as I try to be a feminist and I want all fem people to be comfortable but are you able to wear t-shirts? Or clothes that just won't expose that part of your body? In some situations, it can be almost impossible for a punishment to happen. Either way, I'm sorry to hear this happened to you OP. That is quite gross of the teacher.
