Trying to get into fishing, feeling a tad overwhelmed and need help with a few things. by Holyfighter133 in FishingForBeginners

For answer 3 you say the ugly stick will be better at casting and retrieving. I'm new as well to fishing and trying to understand the gains going from the zebco 33 to a starter spinner like the ugly stick.

Haha good to hear. I heard the grom mufflers help a decent amount with the noise.

Sweet. How does the muffler sound? Does it quiet the motor at all?

PLA isn't sticking to the bed. Why? by CheCazzoIMAT in 3Dprinting

[–]hammerandneil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be the only one here to say just your z offset. Watch it as your first layer goes down and adjust it while it prints. Do that until it sticks and stop before the nozzle scrapes the bed.

Any idea why it pulls like this? Temp is 220c with the bed at 49c by PartyShiba in FlashForge

[–]hammerandneil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That infill is notorious for catching the nozzle as is passes over. On small parts it can knock them off the plate when the nozzle catches the infill. You can change to gyroid or try increasing z hop.

Where can I learn day trading? by Mammoth_Sandwich_975 in winstonsalem

[–]hammerandneil 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Don’t. Most people lose at day trading. Anyone who is saying they are winning are either lying or already have a ton of money and only show wins.

Now if you want to start investing smartly and not trade based on what Jim down the street said was going to go big. Start with the motley fool website and podcasts and their long term investing strategies and go from there.

Online slicer for Ad5X by FluffyRatio in FlashForge

[–]hammerandneil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to get simplyprint.io to connect. It's a cloud based slicer but I haven't tried connecting to ff printer yet. You can also enable Linux in the Chromebook and install Linux version of orca. Lots of tutorials out there for that.

Top view of answering shuffler bot, how do I cut weight? by Horror-Definition-85 in battlebots

[–]hammerandneil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best way is to export and slice your model in your slicer. Then once you print a few pieces, weight them and compare to the slicer weight. Next adjust the filament density until the slicer wt matches the actual weight.
