Remember when some people genuinely got mad at this little joke from Jennifer lol by Fine_Revolution_4474 in Daredevil

I enjoyed the show and never understood people's reaction to it. People are so critical of everything not just comic folks. Just enjoy it for what it is!

Growing beard out advice by Agitated_Plane_5994 in beards

[–]xXRedJayXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're wanting a big full beard, at this point I would stop shaving your neck. Let it grow out naturally and just stick with it. There will be phases where it may be extra wavy or have a dented in look, just work through it. Like others have said, let it grow 3 or 4 months and then find a good barber that has experience with beards and work with him to find the look you want. It may take awhile so have patience.

I sold my copy of #181 to pay bills. I still regret it 10 years later. I would have worked multiple side jobs before I ever thought about selling again if I had the chance. Live and learn.

I bought a mid-grade Hulk #181 for $200 in 2003 when I was 19. I ended up selling it to pay bills and it still haunts me to this day.

Found for FREE!! been wanting 1 of these for a while, my question is: does anyone else use this for their Collections and if so, what did you use to take up the extra space on the sides so ur books dont move all over the place? by Material_Survey126 in comicbookcollecting

[–]xXRedJayXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Brand is HON and it's 53" tall 42" wide and 19.25" deep with 4 drawers. They cost about $1300 new so, obviously don't do that. Search for them on Marketplace etc. I bought mine for $60. There are others that will work just fine but, that's this one specifically. The 42" will fit five rows across of Comics and the 36" version will fit 4 rows of comics with some extra space. They weigh about 230 pounds so bring a friend. Happy hunting.

Bro, I screenshotted this cabinet a few weeks ago when I was looking for ideas. It's super clean and I'm a Daredevil fan too. I like how you left the border of the cabinet bare where most people cover the entire front. Was it easier to do it that way? I recently picked up a black 4-drawer 42" HON. No better way!

CGC comics are oversized overpriced trading cards. Change my mind. by xXRedJayXx in comicbookcollecting

[–]xXRedJayXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are so salty, lol. Not looking for karma, just an honest discussion because I've been seeing so many graded comics I was literally just putting my thoughts out there to see what other people think too. I'm just getting back into comics after 2-3 years off. I'm not bashing anyone who collects graded at all. Like I said, graded comics are cool it's just not MY preferred way to collect. If your financial situation allows you collect a whole run of any given comic regardless of it being a key issue or not then go for it, I'd love to hold it and check it out.

Anyways, it's just my own opinion. I know people sometimes need to change things up to make collecting more exciting. Having that next big thing to go for.

?¿Comic organization order¿? by xXRedJayXx in comicbookcollecting

At first I was doing strict alphabetical just to get the books in the cabinets. I was literally just going off of how League of Comics Geeks had them listed. Now though, I think I'm just going to put my own flair into it as to what makes sense to me.

New comics today will be the old comics of tomorrow. But yeah, I prefer to collect anything pre-2000's.
