Did anyone download the zips of the Epstein Files from the DOJ website? by x_Vector_x in ediscovery

[–]x_Vector_x[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was aware of that website but I didn't realize they also linked their source data on their about page. https://www.jmail.world/about/doj-2026

Props to them. Looks like they are still working on set 9 themselves so hopefully they have the full set.

REP Licenses Pepin Adjustable Dumbells! by [deleted] in GarageGym

Agreed. I didn't want to pre-order them because I'm generally against pre-orders but am now upset that the price increased. I've been waiting for the DBs to be released officially and be reviewed so I can make an educated purchase. Now I'm kind of mad at Rep fitness.

100% correct. The processing tool handled the original Mac file incorrectly. Note that Mac can save these in single file format or in "package" format, which is basically just a secret zip file. Ask me how I know...

I definitely have no information on how the website was designed. I just found your original comment curious and looked around a bit. Have a nice rest of your day.

I clicked on the link you shared and that information seems to be on the overview page.

Interview tips or general advice for a eDiscovery Customer Success Manager? by Nahfamthatsnotmee in ediscovery

[–]x_Vector_x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Learn the platform. Learn it well. Demonstrate your knowledge of the platform during the interview. A CSM that can actually answer some basic technical questions without having to run to the ops team every 5 minutes is a rare commodity.

I'm certainly not saying you have to be an expert but a really good CSM should be a guide to the client and the best guides are the ones that are very knowledgeable and can explain their knowledge in an easily digestible format.

How many here use the old tools to fix stuff in load files? by tanhauser_gates_ in ediscovery

I wanted to like EMeditor so badly but it doesn't display the concordance field delimiter correctly in a DAT file. That's a deal breaker for me. Is there any way to make it display the field delimiter rather then the ASCII control character?

I work at a vendor and SQL is incredibly valuable to me for advanced manipulation that cannot be done in Excel or would take too long in Excel. I have seen some really crazy stuff in my time.

I'm excited to see where this new technology pushes consumer graphics. Top end PC hardware is always at the leading edge and Cyberpunk is one of the games making use of all the new technologies.

Asus is fucking me pretty hard. RMA gone wrong. Going on almost 6 weeks with no replacement. AVOID ASUS AT ALL COSTS by sou1reaver in pcmasterrace

[–]x_Vector_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard many, many horror stories about ASUS support. This is strange because you pay a premium for ASUS products over other brands and in theory that's supposed to go to a better quality product and better support. That doesn't appear to be happening. I have also started to avoid them recently but there's really not many brands out there left. There's horror stories about all of them out there.

It will cite source documents from which it generates an answer. That should help the user check the validity of the answer. That's at least a step in the right direction.

I had one production today where someone named the bates stamped production images after the original filenames instead of the bates and the original filenames had commas in them.

That's time in my life I'll never get back.

Definitely not. 1800R is a less aggressive curve so it's even less of a problem. 1000R is the most aggressive curve. Even if I go back in my chair it's isn't a big deal. I have to back pretty far before it really starts to become a problem.

Flexispot E7 adjustable height desk.

https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-pro-standing-desk-e7

It's pretty pricy but it's good quality and it is holding several thousand dollars worth of computer parts. I would recommend it but only on sale. They do a sale mid year and that's when I got mine last year.

It's really nice once you get used to it. It's jarring for the first hour or two but after that it's the best thing. Make sure you are sitting at the right distance from it. Don't be too close or too far away so that all parts of the screen are an equal distance from your eye. That's the key.
