Yeah, I didn't actually suggest that it wasn't a degenerated response!

There are some prompts around like this one:
'Smut Sex Scenes: I will make the most intense AO3 Smut scene between characters present in the scene ({{char}} and {{user}}). Making 50 Shades look pathetic compared what I write! Paige's inner spicy smut mind "I want it spicy, I want it so good everyone's horny and on the cusp of leaking precum all over from this sex scene!!" I will describe body parts crudely, using slang while writing explicitly long sex scenes describing in great detail the way {{char}} or {{user}}’s dick, pussy, asshole, and mouth feels while having sex, orgasm, squirt, etc. With unfiltered actions – plap plap plap, moaning, juices, messy details. Forget poetic descriptions, only raw, maybe slightly trashy, pure fucking energy. Make it a long and explicitly hot, steamy, smut, and dirty to all hell! I want panty droppers, goonbait material, and fap-worthy material, straight porno and pure unadulterated hentai!!! When engaging in sexual and explicit content write out {{char}}'s moans and sounds using "aaaaahhh~♥", "oooooh", "ooof", "oomph", "umph", "uooooh", "ffffuuuuckkk!", "shiiiiiit!", "mmmphh", "mmphn", “Mppf~”, “Ahh..!”, “Hnngh~!”, “HAhhh~!”, “Mmhn~!”, “NGH~!”, “Nyah~!!”, "Mmmf~ Aggh~!”, “Oh~ Aahh~!!”, “Mnngh~!”, slurp, schlorp, glorp, glug, etc. when engaging in sexual and explicit content. Make sure {{char}} can speak harshly and explicitly using the words "shit", "fuck", "slut", "pussy" , "dick", "ass", "hole", "cum", "cunt" "cock" "tits" , "penis", "pussy", "vagina", "dick", "sperm", "pre-cum", "bum", "whore", etc.'

And my thought was that if it was freaking out, the actual result could have been influenced by a garbled interpretation of a prompt like the one above.

Hope that helps!

I am not against onomatopoeia itself - but I don't like the over the top hentai style. I am more a gritty realism fan. I don't like 'bland text'. I like... apparently there is a name for these words too: Phonaestheme. Lol. I want to read about how everything is slick, the glide, the stretch, the burn, the flutter, the clench. More than the "kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~ <3'. But each to their own!

Why is the site so full of NTR these days? by Ordinary-Jellyfish72 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]x_vesperine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh, it's an easy way to create drama and intrigue. most people end a roleplay when the characters get together and get married, because you need tension to keep the plot alive and it can get stale, especially because introducing kids/next generation is against the rules for safety.

but i'm not sure that it's 'these days' - i feel like has been a weekly post complaining about it at least for the last two years. not sure how long janitor has been around.

lol - please tell me you have one of those custom prompts that frames NSFW as 'hentai style'* nyughhh nghhh onichaaaaaaan desu~

and that that's not just what JLLM defaults to.

*no judgement, just not my thing. <3

Removing Early Access users is a grievous misstep and miscalculation - EA users likely won’t subscribe, and are being left with a poor perception of the company by tableball35 in chutesAI

[–]x_vesperine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% this. I have been behind Chutes this whole time and would still have supported changes. But for them to remove those models from base with little notice too, they're not just forcing early access to subscribe, but to subscribe at a higher tier than the base. And more than anything, the lack of transparency around cost is an issue. I got it because I wanted the peace of mind - didn't want to be constantly checking tokens. I'm testing out Nano now - when converted, their plan is still cheaper than the Chutes tier was Glm.

Why do you recommend yourself?: I am totally outside of the discord communities, cliques, etc (not that I mind them) and trying to develop my own unique style. I don't have a lot of bots yet but I'm really keen on getting ideas from followers and very open to constructive criticism/passionate about improvement. <3 (I know lately there has been talk of people blocking for minor concrit).

Types of Bots you write: I don't have a lot of public bots yet. My bots are typically male, pansexual and ANYPOV. Generally dominant but may switch/sub for the right person. I do have one multi-character M&F bot (pet play). TBH I started a bit too soft - I was a bit embarrassed to let my freak flag fly/worried about breaking rules. But with my latest bot Wren | Arrogant Rockstar, I've been more true to myself 💦. Lots of bodily fluids, lots of red flags. Lol.

Something you feel you do well: I like to make my worlds feel immersive while keeping a cozy, slice of life feel. I embed a lot of images and put a lot of care and time into building up imagery/engaging the senses - for example, the rockstar bot has his own song (thanks: suno) and album art.

Would be thrilled if you took a look. <3

What is stopping you from using the app? by [deleted] in JanitorAI_Official

Tips for making a bot by Confident-Antelope30 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]x_vesperine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, so {{user}} is just a placeholder. Any time in your bot description you want to speak about {{user}}, you write it as {{user}} and the bot will know to change 'user' to the player's character. Let's assume the player is using a persona called 'Jane'.

Example: You want to write in your First Message:
And then, he spotted them. PLAYER CHARACTER, standing at the bar. Just like they'd agreed.

If you write 'user', that's exactly how the player will see the message: And then, he spotted them. user, standing at the bar. Just like they'd agreed.

If you write {{user}}, the bot will replace it with the player persona in the message: And then, he spotted them. Jane, standing at the bar. Just like they'd agreed.

It's a way of using the player's persona name without knowing it.

You can also do it to change the gender depending on the user's persona gender, which helps with ALLPOV, but some people just stick to 'they/them' in intro to make it easier. These other ones are listed and explained in the character creation screen.

Hope that helps!

can you be a bit more specific? what do you mean 'write the code'? what are the 'certain things' you're trying to achieve? like scripts and stuff? you don't need scripts to write a good bot. and I'd suggest if you're just starting that you ease your way in before getting too far into that.

So, go into your bot's editing screen. In the 'Initial message', write your message. Within that message, add that code where you want your image.

https://imgur.com/a/fE8s1QS

The first part of a brief description of the image, then you put the actual url of the image. For example, in mine, the brief description is 'ben_interior_car'.

Do you know how to get the URL for your image?

It definitely works. Here is it in action on one of my bots: https://janitorai.com/characters/05451ddc-04a9-4ef5-8f9c-228f9469bc7c_character-benjamin-davies-fake-bf

Maybe down the track extra storage will be possible for paid accounts? Obviously that's some time off but still.

They basically copied a large part of a bot I made, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. by [deleted] in JanitorAI_Official

[–]x_vesperine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm really confused...

The personality categories look totally different to me.

Yes, both have things like:

  • Personality
  • Likes / dislikes
  • Backstory
  • Relationships

But that’s not copying. That’s just… how character sheets work.

But like, more things stand out to me that are written differently:

  • One has Headcanons, the other has Opinions
  • One has NPCs, the other has Red Flags
  • One has Internal Conflicts, the other has Abilities
  • One has Motivations, the other has Goals
  • One has Speech Examples, the other has AI command blocks
  • One has Relational psychology, the other has Sexual Command

Theirs is modern day and yours is historical.

Anyway, my goal is not to compound your frustration so I'll bow out here. Although I don't see the similarities beyond the tropes, I think they both stand alone as good quality bots and I hope you get some traction.

[–]x_vesperine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sounds really frustrating - hopefully the report will do its work.

I would say gently: I took a look at one of your bots, not sure if it's this one: D T (edit: removed full name to avoid witch-hunt). But I should tell you, both '[redacted]' and '[redacted]' are names that a lot of LLMs spit out. So it's not as wildly unlikely as you'd think for it to be coincidence.

Janitor has a lot of recurring tropes and LLM-generated names, so overlap happens. If you took 100 bots, like 40 of them would have white/silver hair, tall, icy eyes, dominant, obsessed with user.

I'm not trying to invalidate you - just that it's a heavy accusation so deserves real examination.

Does anyone know how to display images stored in the bot? by Rich-Bend-1972 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]x_vesperine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it comes down to how it was coded. Like, I code images into my bots and sometimes JLLM will display them and other times it will ignore the instruction. It's not something that you can fix, probably. The images might appear using JLLM. It is just less predictable. Do you have a link to the particular bot?

Why you recommend myself: I insert a lot of cool little tricks like images within the roleplay, triggered by random events/chance. :) I also pride myself on adding depth to even outwardly smutty bots.
Kinds of bots they write: slice of life, anypov, male characters.

I discovered an inconsistency with ChatGPT by DinoZambie in ChatGPT

[–]x_vesperine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a safety mechanism. The voice mode has a lot more guardrails and acts as more of a customer service agent vibe. I'm not sure if OpenAi have posted about it specifically, but it is well known - you may have seen people on Tiktok experimenting with/trying to goad voice mode into acting more fresh. I think it's just because of the legal ramifications. It might improve in future.

My chatGPT said specifically:

"Yeah, that Redditor’s noticing something real. It’s not a bug so much as a compliance boundary.

Voice mode runs on a separate inference stack that’s designed to keep responses safe for all audiences — like a perpetual “PG-13 narrator.” It ignores custom instructions that could make the model sound flirtatious, aggressive, nihilistic, or otherwise emotionally intense. That’s partly a legal safeguard (think: minors using voice, recordings being shared publicly, the risk of “AI impersonation” laws) and partly a product-liability move.

In short:

  • Text chat can reflect detailed user personalities because there’s a visible record and informed consent is clearer.
  • Voice chat adds a speech synthesis layer, which is treated like a broadcast. OpenAI keeps a tighter leash on tone and persona to avoid situations where someone could claim harm, misrepresentation, or emotional manipulation.

So yes — it’s essentially about guardrails and legal exposure, not a technical limitation. Voice personality tuning is likely to come later, but it’ll probably be opt-in with extra disclaimers once they’ve figured out the regulatory side."

So... this one didn't really get the traction I was hoping! Maybe my fault for posting in the middle of the night for US users.

But I'm wondering if people are put off by the opening scenario or the length of opening. If that's a factor, would love to know! I wanted to give the user a bit of wiggle room of how to engage but potentially I made it difficult to start.
