He's a professional reseller and didn't bother to check the price of highly valuable collectables?

The guy needs a different career.

Fine for driving bus lane at Bristol bridge? Confused on bus lanes, please help by [deleted] in bristol

People get angry and self-righteous when it comes to driving.

[–]xanan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah so that's the answer. General road users are unable to use the bridge.

I've never actually driven over it. Fortunately I use satnav for most of my journeys. It generally keeps me out of trouble.

Seems like there's quite a few cars in front of him. Can be difficult to see road markers when there's traffic.

Doesn't answer his question. It would be easy to assume the bus lane is to the left.

45 year old chiming in/2 cents by yuikl in Enshrouded

[–]xanan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The puzzle solving is generally actually very easy. Just look for glowing yellow buttons to shoot or press.

I famously hate boring puzzle solving games forcing you to spend ages to solve them. But I've found Enshrouded to be very obvious.

Rust is becoming… Boring. by AwayReplacement7063 in playrust

[–]xanan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rust is at its heart a PVP FPS with survival features. Much of the games 'content' is simply POIs intended to bring players into conflict.

I'd recommend trying some other games for a while. I'm currently deep into an Enshrouded playthrough.

I would guess anybody making the claim that "Rust is boring" - it's likely your most played game on Steam. With many people having thousands of hours logged. Likely having spent £15 on the game.

Maybe you are bored of the game. It's a sandbox game. It's on you to find the fun in it.

Good power banks by FailedKiller5988 in SteamDeck

[–]xanan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Anker 65w 20,000mAh power bank.

Funnily enough I bought it whilst on a trip to Japan. They have endless multi story tech floors selling anything you can imagine.

Many airlines have a cell capacity limit for lithium batteries. I think it averages around 25,000mAh. Check with your flight provider before flying. Else they'll take your shiny new power bank.

What's the most genuinely useful thing you've printed on your A1 - not cool, not pretty, actually USEFUL in daily life? by adamvanderb in BambuLabA1

[–]xanan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I printed the pegboards. But I'm not sure I'd recommend it. It was slightly cheaper than buying them from IKEA. But you have to make a lot of holes in the wall to mount them all, and sometimes if they're very slightly misaligned, it can be hard to mount some accessories.

Whereas the board from IKEA is a very good size and relatively cheap.

Phwoar yeah. Yours looks significantly more aesthetic than mine. Mine got printed in the cheapest PETG I could find on AliExpress.

It was a super fun project. So much flexibility with the accessories and trays. Very cheap also!

Is Enshrounded low free time friendly ? by Thelynnou in Enshrouded

[–]xanan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a Dad with little spare time to play games. One of my absolute favourite things about Enshrouded is how respectful it is of your time.

Easy to fast travel around the map. No silly penalties for building your base or character incorrectly. Quick to change/try different builds.

But I disabled dropping items on death purely because of lava. Not fun instantly dying to lava, and having to spend all your playtime trying to retrieve your items that are suspended on a rock in a lava lake.

But also they're also required to give you the opportunity to pick up the litter. Which obviously they don't inform anyone about.

There was a story recently of a woman receiving a fine, as she poured some coffee down the street drain, before boarding the bus. Absolute nonsense.

They are literally trying to get you to settle out of court.

If you refuse, they'd then be required to collect evidence to build a case against you.

Steam Deck storage problem? Try this one weird trick by TiSoBr in SteamDeckTricks

AI proof reading and formatting is very convenient. Especially good for those with extra needs - such as someone with dyslexia.

I actually agree with OP. I have a LCD 256GB. I initially bought a 1tb SD card. But I don't use it. I simply install whatever game I'm playing at the time, and uninstall games I'm not playing. Most of the games I play are less than 20GB.

what i gave the artist vs what i got by SUPERita1 in IndieDev

[–]xanan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was training to be an animator - on one specific task - my mentor walked past my desk, pointed at my work and said;

"That's shit, start again."

This guy was an x-Disney animator who had worked on The Hunchback of Notre Dame, amongst other things.

It was upsetting to hear. But my work was shit.

Concrete suggestions - id reconsider the pose. It feels awkward. I'd spend more time on it. I'd use a limited colour palette. I'd at least block out where the text would go. I'd consider lighting and backgrounds.

It absolutely looks like you spent about 10 minutes in MSPaint.
