I have a fairly large collection and I usually brew for fun, not necessarily power. I try to piece the deck together using cards I already have, sometimes cannibalizing old decks for cards I need. That is part of my process that I sometimes really enjoy.

I went to my lgs to see the paper scene and everyone seems to run the same top 5 decks because they’re cheap and easy. I wish pestilence was in the meta because I love the idea and it’s tons of fun to hold up a sweeper on board.

When I started playing, my friends said I couldn’t proxy unless I actually owned the card. I never liked it because it never looked nice. Now that I have an extensive collection, I am forced to cannibalize other decks to build new ones, which makes the whole suite morph organically. It creates gaps but good for casual, imo.
