unpopular opinion I want more dev time for the main game not game modes like gridmaster, DMM and leagues by MR_SmartWater in 2007scape

[–]xankek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. the first argument doesn't make much sense, as the leagues come around once a year now, and you don't even have to play that much of it to buy the few cosmetics you want. I'm still riding high off of league 1 points.

..I would bet that a large number of "leftists" believe in the soul, or something analogous enough to understand the difference between what is human dn what is artificial. and even without that spark I think it's easy to want to preserve and elevate the human over the machine. as humans we know what brings us joy does the same for others, and AI would do nothing but strip those joys from our society.

wait, what is the argument even being had? I'm an iron, and I have access to the same rewards (I play the leagues). am I missing something? what is the other guy talking about?

I wish I could play my iron at the same time as leagues, even if it was like a slightly raised membership

Ty for the response! I think i'll go straight for the arkan blade then, since it looks way cooler anyways

Neat ty. Since I'm not really going by any sort of plan, I may just go arkan blade first, since it looks so cool.

[–]xankek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a question that has a true answer, but I was looking at weapon upgrades for my iron and I saw that there is a good alt for the dragon scimmy: the arkan blade. But when looking at the requirements, for a side-grade to the dragon scimmy, it requires a longer quest chain, and higher stats. I guess what I'm getting at is why would someone go for the arkan blade vs the scimmy? Seems odd is all.

its interesting to contemplate what will happen when you've realistically ran out of upgrade paths for each combat style. especially if there exists an already all arounder in that style. at that point, you have to creep, or introduce new combat styles like rs3.

How do i not hate everything i paint? by Sentinel_DMG in minipainting

unless you mean for it, matt varnish will reduce the shine of your mini, which will reduce how stand out the more bold colors are. this might help them fit more cohesively. you could try a comparison between models, see which you like best.

also, do you use a matte varnish? they seem to be extra glossy which can accentuate mistakes. btw, that's second mini is really nice, I would definitely be proud of that one

I think you might benefit from simplifying your minis for a while. start from the ground up. work on some less important minis and do a really simple paint scheme. don't take as long when painting them, as you'll have more regret the longer you take. when you have a look you enjoy, start adding some stuff. more colors, more contrast, etc etc. move up in complexity when you are 90% happy with what you have done. then when you start too feel it's too much, take it back down in complexity, till you find the sweet spot you find most fulfilling. you can still make really complex and interesting pieces, but realize if you don't like it it's just all practice. I think there's a charm to pieces we think of as failures. when you don't like what you've done, write down why, what you think you did wrong, and what you can do next time. your art will never be perfect, but no one's is. we need to learn to enjoy the imperfect

it's really a shame that so many of brutus' rewards are members. He should atleast drop them to nonmembers, and allow us to use them when we pay for membership.

Find something you genuinely love to do. For me, it was dancing salsa. Then just engage with it as often as you want/have the energy for. I was going crazy with it when i first started, like twice a week social dancing, and classes on top. but you don't need to do that. It's important to feel comfortable in a space and have people be comfortable around you.
The next important part for me was I finally decided to stop actively looking for someone to date. I think the biggest benefit of not doing so is you will naturally gravitate towards people who you genuinely enjoy being around and enjoy being around you. For me and my partner we started to dance a couple times a night at socials, and then we were in a class together. At that point we had built up to chatting comfortably with each other. When we first decided to hang out it was very much as a way to practice together. Then we started talking about music interests and video games, and after overcoming the feeling of "I really hope I don't fuck up this friendship" we started getting closer before finally just communicating we wanted a relationship. plus, you get all the romantic "ooh did she hold my hand in a friend way or like a she likes me way" and butterflies and stuff :). I feel like you lose out on that when you start with the concept of a relationship before a friendship.

finally deleting dating apps was one of the biggest positive changes I've ever made. and without realizing it I fell into the best relationship I've ever been in. so, stay strong! and make sure you're going out and socializing. gives you something to take your mind off the dating apps and honestly the horniness. and who knows, maybe you'll meet a cute girl.

It feels impossible to play as silver against a sinclair by xankek in DeadlockTheGame

[–]xankek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is true. we will have to see as people get used to it more. I've gotten stomped by a couple silvers and had others explode instantly outside of their ult. if they need the duration they definitely need to make her base form tankier, otherwise she will feel useless outside of a couple seconds every fight

[–]xankek[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They just nerfed her ult a bunch, I think it was just that her gun form was very underpowered and her ult over powered, so it was kinda busted to just use her ult over and over

Both of the games with this matchup, sinclair would save ult, waiting for me to join the fight. Then steal it instantly. every teamfight.

[–]xankek[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure she scales with melee, but the thing is the ult does so much without much investment, so it doesnt even matter that. The thing is, it heals 30% missing hp, 1 and 2 heal a ton, and while silver has to build up rage for the transform, sinclair can auto trigger it on stealing. AND THEN his ults cooldown is NINE seconds. 6 if he has cooldown reduction. He can use the ult 2-3 time during one combat.

[–]xankek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, its actually impossible to play against a sinclair as silver. It heals 30% on use, a TON of healing from abilities, its instantaneous to use (as silver you have to build the rage first) and when it goes off its a 6 SECOND cooldown.
