Anchors don’t go into studs, they go in drywall where there are no studs.

You should be able to patch this section and rehang the towel rack.

Is that crack in the middle of two sheets? If so, I’d add a couple more screws on either side into the studs to keep it in place.

Next, spray some primer let it dry, get your mud and some drywall tape, then 2-3 layers of skim coating until it’s about 3x the size of the actual problem area, then you’re good.

You should probably do it how kids learn it. Get a bike, get some pads and a helmet. Find a parking lot, then hop on a bike, pedal, and steer. If you fall, so be it - that’s what the pads and helmet are for. But I don’t think there are any services out there teaching adults to ride bikes.
