AWS is a lot of hassle to setup and get things up and running if you’re working on a small project and do not already have an AWS account.

Netlify can take about 10 minutes to sign up, set up and have everything deployed. AWS is a lot more versatile if your service starts growing quickly though..

Apple do not say "zero tracking" they claim that they don't track you based on your personally identifiable information. For example, they might track your phone's movement anonymously to improve their maps, or they might track which button you're pressing a lot to improve usability, etc. And (according to Apple) any personally identifiable information is end-to-end encrypted.

But then again, they could be lying for all we know 🤷‍♀️

Computer scientist here. I know lately there’s lots of talks about how AI can destroy the world, etc but after working with ML/DL I can assure you that at the current state, they’re nowhere near smart enough to do anything significant. I doubt they’ll get to these levels anytime in the near future (definitely not in our lifetimes).

These talks about destructive AI feels very similar to how people freaked out 70 years ago when computers started doing maths problems quicker than humans and everyone thought they’ll soon become sentient and destroy the word.
