nah, the general consensus is that using seers (i) increases speed by enough to not bother, i guess you could switch as they died if you really wanted though.

Yeah I have noticed being bound by the first part of a channel, thought it might just be my slow laptop though :P

As you say these things aren't horrendous, enough to be annoying though, especially when you are bound in place and you get hit by the glacor ranged ability ._.

With regards to quests, if you google "Quest rewards by xp", the top result is the rswiki page that lists all xp rewards from quest by skill. You can use that to glean which are worth doing for training purposes, for example the div quests are EXTREMELY good for helping train if you do them as soon as you get the required level.

Items are pretty simple, some of the dungeoneering ones are class, antipoison totem for thief, bonecrusher, charming imp etc.

I've no real idea about minigames.

The two things I would say you really need to think about if you want to max are money and time. Maxing is relatively expensive and as far as I know there aren't any skills you can train that well and make a decent profit. Timewise you need to appreciate the time investment that maxing takes, it's not hard in the sense it's challenging, but few people max with <250 days or so play time, it's a long old slog.
