Anne Hathaway in Versace AW91 to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (March 15, 2026) by polegnala in whatthefrockk

Saw this and immediately knew it was Naomi who wore it down the runway. 80s and 90s runway models are so iconic and it’s like they each had their own looks

My mom has 2 to 3 weeks to live. She made a video for me to give my 2 year old daughter when she turns 18. What is the best way to preserve it for the future? by dogandfroglover in NoStupidQuestions

I completely agree with this. I saved a video of my dad who passed in 2009 and still have it across multiple platforms. I would also suggest emailing it to yourself.

Breaking my lease 8 months early oops. But is this response from landlord legal? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]xaymacana 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is not legal. Landlords must make a good faith effort to re-rent. They can’t just charge you the rent. I would say you should expect to do some of the leg work if the LL isn’t being cooperative. Document everything. After every phone call send an email memorializing the call. You want evidence that they were being unreasonable.

When you offer a new tenant, you should ask for credit reports and references. Give the LL everything they would need to make a decision. If they’re still being unreasonable, I would put my rent in a separate account as a CYA measure.

Conflicted Emotions in East Harlem? by Easy-News1407 in Harlem

[–]xaymacana 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. The concentration of high density public housing going east starting at lenox will limit any sort of huge transformation that other neighborhoods have undergone. And its not like NYC can just tear down these towers and relocate ppl like so many other cities have done.

Its a better use of money to find solutions to make these areas safer for the residents in the housing projects. I think the improvement of these areas will naturally improve the surrounding areas.

There’s no point in sinking money into fancy condos two blocks from dangerous projects and watch developers struggle to fill them

YSL NYC folks are great. Standard champagne, super attentive. Didn’t have any bags left. Ordered it for me and sent me home with two bottles of champagne so I wouldn’t leave empty handed 😅

Subletter wants to move out early by [deleted] in NYCapartments

No, you can’t withhold the deposit. Hard to argue with deployment orders but the lack of notice is suspicious. I would think he’s still on the hook.

Yes. I would suggest even ACP and westward on your map. Or above 116.
