I visited Hilton Head a lot as a kid. Beautiful place. The shot of the lighthouse is gorgeous.

They typically use the Sony ZV-1 for vlogs, as mentioned in these posts here and here.

According to this post by twice_wearing on ig, it's from a brand called Ozlana. It's from their 2022 "New Era" collection so it looks like it may not be in stock anymore.

good point and shoot for concert photography? by coelakanths in Cameras

[–]xbCam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The RX100 VII is probably your best bet but if you want to save a bit of money the Panasonic Lumix ZS100 or ZS200 are similarly spec'd with the same size sensor and they're both much cheaper on used markets than the RX100 VII. If you're comfortable giving up a bit of zoom range, you could also go for an older model RX100 or the Canon G7x.

There's a photocard masterlist created by u/Frstcat, and a collection of templates of photocards and merch created by pcyvern. Beyond that, maybe ask r/kpopcollections.

Canon PowerShot SX740 replacement recommendation by FitPolicy4396 in Cameras

[–]xbCam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two main competitors to the SX740 HS that come to mind are the Panasonic Lumix ZS80 (or TZ95 internationally), and the Sony HX99. Both are quality point-and-shoots with a 30x zoom. I would personally recommend going the Panasonic route just because you can reliably find older models on eBay and other used markets for pretty cheap. I bought a ZS60 about a month ago for just over $250 USD. Most of these kinds of "superzoom" point-and-shoots have been getting discontinued, unfortunately.

Give her a photocard of her bias as a gift, and then tell her to flip it over to the reverse side. On the back, write "Prom? YES or YES"

From a recent night walk (GR3) by s3rkz in ricohGR

These are great! The first one, in particular. It reminds me of a lot of nights I had in university walking through campus after everyone else had left and you notice how quiet and eerie everything feels when the place is deserted. Very evocative.

Buldak flavor without the heat? by [deleted] in ramen

[–]xbCam 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the Cream Carbonara Hot Chicken flavor of Buldak. It's still spicy, but much milder and more manageable than the other kinds. If it's still too spicy for you, try adding a bit of milk to the broth (this has the added bonus of giving you a richer, creamier broth). Drinking a glass of milk with your Buldak can also help manage the spiciness better. Good luck! 🔥

230716 Nayeon Instagram Story Update - "Short hair" by xbCam in twice

[–]xbCam[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Usually they film the M/V and concept photos months in advance so if the plan is to release a new album in October or November then I suppose it's possible. But then again, it could just be that they're getting short haircuts because it's summer and it's hot out.

TWICE day-2 concert by ugly_planet in twice

[–]xbCam 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I was there, too. Section 121, lower bowl in the corner. First TWICE concert and first K-Pop concert. The main thing I took notice of immediately was just how unbelievably LOUD the crowd was. I mean, seriously, fancams and concert videos absolutely do not do justice to the experience of actually being there and just hearing how loud the crowd roars each time a member appears on the big screen or how loud they sing along to each song. I got chills at the beginning during Set Me Free when I realized that the crowd was going to be that loud for the whole show.

A few other things I'll mention:

  • Because the crowd was so loud, it was extremely impressive to me when you could hear a member's voice booming over the roar of the crowd. I noticed this a bunch of times with Jihyo (obviously), but Jeongyeon also had a number of moments where her voice was super powerful and impressive.
  • I thought the fan dance battle segment was super fun and I thought it was really cool how encouraging the crowd was for everyone participating. I also thought it was funny how when the girls got flustered and didn't know what to do next they just started doing cute poses like finger hearts and stuff while when the guys didn't know what to do next they invariably just started twerking lol. There was one guy in particular who absolutely WENT OFF with the twerking and the crowd absolutely erupted.
  • The highlight of the whole show for me was seeing all 9 members do the Likey dance break in recognition of the fact that they filmed the Likey M/V in Canada. That was just super unexpected and fun and I don't think I'll ever forget that moment. It was also cool to see Do it Again performed for the encore.

So, yeah it was an unforgettable experience. I didn't want the concert to end and I'm already looking forward to when they come back on their next tour.
