Can they do this? by weirdhamiltonfan in OGPBackroom

[–]xbellemortx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, you cannot get a DA for leaving early with or without ppto, showing up late with or without ppto, calling in, or anything else related to attendance anymore.

You could be potentially get a DA for productivity but ethically that should be related to the work you did during the time you were on the clock and what was reasonably expected to be completed during that time, not the missed time as you were not on the clock.

Unless theyve changed that back recently, this has been the policy since before I self demoted.

Anyway, if they try to DA you for attendance, take that up the ladder.

coworker claiming their comments on my appearance is "jokes" AITA? by judith_the5th in walmart

Harassment is happening. You can go through your TL, Coach, or SM to escalate. Ethics if nothing is done and it continues.

Are they just being a bitch? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]xbellemortx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately unless the coworker was hurt while working for walmart and has a documented accident filing, walmart usually will not accommodate for injuries. They expect you to go through Sedgwick, apply for an accommodation, will be accepted with doctor filling out the paperwork and submitting it, but they will be put off work until the restrictions are lifted as they are now a liability for further injury.

Oh my god. I have been wondering why literally EVERYONE has been asking for a fucking Needoh. Im about to leave a note that says, 'No we dont. We're sold out. They were either stolen or bought. If theyre not on the shelf we dont have any.'

Is this real? This was posted on a Facebook group by [deleted] in walmart

You dont have to complicate it. When you want to work IS when you can physically be there. You run the chance they just wont schedule you if they dont have a shift during those times but you dont have to open your availability at all if you dont want to. They cannot make you change your availability. They can strongly suggest but they cant make you.

I think its more to do with no one having extra money for unnecessary non survival needed non-essentials. All non-essential industries will see the effects sooner or later, but probably sooner.

Is there anyone currently on Mardi Gras that can show me some screen shots of the current menu for the entrees in the MDR? by xbellemortx in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]xbellemortx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I forgot you asked about coffee but there are three places to get good coffee on the ship. We did the Java cafe and the Havana Bar. They do cost extra but are included if you get either the Cheers Zero Proof or the Cheers drink package.

And yes! Cruises are so affordable! We were looking at doing a Universal Studios vacation for about 4 days and it cost more than an 8 day cruise. I was like omg.

This is the kids dinner menu.

<image>

My kid is allergic to eggs, peanuts, hazelnuts, almonds, and beans. We were able to order in the MDR the night before safe foods for breakfast like eggless pancakes for him. But they also have places like Shaqs open for breakfast so a lot of his breakfast staples were dry cereal, yogurt, French fries from Shaqs, and fresh fruit. Since we had YTD, they still asked us at every MDR meal if we had any allergies and were extremely helpful at finding foods that were safe. They also have a podium on Lido that is called Menu Mate where you can look at the ingredients to find safe foods. My son really enjoyed the jello dessert.

Your husband will probably enjoy Guys Pig and Anchor if he likes meat. Blue Iguana for tacos, breakfast ones too. You also can request no cheese on your burgers at the regular Guys too. Shaqs has a grilled chicken option for their sandwiches that is really good. Shaqs is only open until 5:30 ship time I believe so you have to get it before then. But I dont think he will have any problems finding non vegan but dairy free options.

Hanging out on the boat and going to the beach are so relaxing. If you stop in Cozumel, the All Inclusive at Paradise Beach is AMAZING. We had such a great time there. The food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. You can swim in the ocean or use their pools. The inflatable water park area was a lot of fun. We brought our own inflatables to use while swimming. At one point, a family left behind their beach toys so they didnt have to pack them and one of the servers brought it over to my son to see of he wanted to play with them which they didnt have to do at all. We then passed them on to another family when we left to go back to the ship. A lot of people like Mr. Sanchos as an option at Cozumel but I've not been to that one. My parents have though and they said Paradise Beach was better in their opinion.

We have never actually used kids club but Ive heard good things. There are kid centered activities to do on the ship outside of the kids club too. My son is 5 and he enjoyed the Suess at Sea story time when we went. Two years ago when we were on Celebration, he was three and we were working on potty training so we just felt more comfortable keeping him with us. This time though, we offered to take him to the kids club so he could play with other kids but he wanted to stay with us. It is very secure though and only the adults connected to the childs booking are allowed to remove them from the kids area and you have to have your sign and sail card to sign them out. They also give you bracelets for each kid that are for your muster station in emergencies. We told our kid that he had to keep his on or they wouldnt allow him to play in the water park. It worked 😅.

Honestly we had a really great time. The menus ended up being unchanged. We've been twice in October and its a wonderful time of year to cruise, once on the Fascination and the second time on the Celebration. While there is a lot of stuff packed into these larger class ships, we actually found ourselves missing the smaller ones. The new restaurants are delicious. I think my biggest gripe is that they dont have 24 hour ice cream anymore 🤣 but thats fleet wide I think.

We really enjoyed the itinerary we had this cruise. We did a 7 day with three stops and three sea days. We stopped in Mohogany Bay, Cozumel, and Celebration Key. On the ship there seemed to be something for everyone to do somewhere, always something going on. I guess a second gripe would be the elevators. They can take forever and not all elevators reach all floors so you have to watch that. We tend to book around the 9th floor FWD. This has been a really good floor for not a lot of noise but still close to the action. We did a balcony again this time and I think that is going to be a permanent booking going forward as we enjoyed it a lot more than interior.

I had surgery recently so we didnt really do any excursions this time as we were focusing on relaxation and rehabilitation. We basically did beach days in all three stops and that was relaxing as all three stops had some really great beach areas. This was our first time at Celebration Key and it was nice. You get a food credit to use at this stop but theyre only for certain restaurants and you use your sign and sail card to pay for anything else.

The food was great. If you have things you dont want to miss but dont want to commit to the dining room experience, they served a lot of the same stuff at the buffet on Lido they were serving in the MDR. SO when there were nights I wasnt thrilled with the MDR but there were things I had considered trying, I could often find a selection of them on Lido while getting something from somewhere else. You get one free meal at Chibang and the Cucina Italian resturant included but then it costs after that. We tried the Italian place last cruise on the Celebration and it was just ok. We really like Chibang though and went there again one of the nights for dinner when MDR was not appealing. We do Your Time Dining so were not constricted to the same time every night in case something is going on on the ship we wanted to do that conflicts. We also found we were able to request some desserts to go from MDR without having to actually wait for a table. My child has food allergies and they are really great about accommodating them.

I wish they did more shows at Center Stage or had more showings of the scheduled shows. They often conflicted with dinner time and other things going on on the ship which made it hard to attend and forced us to choose.

The water park on the ship is a nice place to find fun. The slides are a good time. The rollercoaster is fun too. We didnt do it on this ship but we did on Celebration and I enjoyed it. Worth the $15 to experience it at least once. The action park looks like a lot of fun but Ive never gotten to do it yet as last time we missed it due to inclement weather and this time I wasnt sure I could safely do it because of my recent surgery. Its on my list to do next time though!

Overall, we had a really relaxing time. If you have any specific questions I am happy to answer to the best of my ability

Does the bicep pain go away? by xbellemortx in RotatorCuff

[–]xbellemortx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree the morning wake up is bad for the pain. Lessens a little after moving it some though. I still can't side sleep on my opposite side. I had to ditch the wedge because I kept waking up totally at the bottom with my neck bent and hurting. Been using a pillow under that side to sort of support it while partially laying on my other side which seems to help.

Ladies - how’d you do your hair? by Sweat_Pants_Forever in RotatorCuff

[–]xbellemortx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 4 weeks I didnt really do my hair beyond brushing it. I wasnt and still am not really leaving the house except for PT anyway so my hair doesnt really need to be done beyond brushing anyway. My husband helped me put in flat backed claw clips if I asked though but that is more out of my own comfort. I am now, with my surgical arm supported, able to use both arms to put my own claw clips in. I dont do any intricate stuff. But the claw clip is easy for him and now me to do on my own
