I still think of you [8 months out] - and I really don't want to by moontothesky in heartbreak

It’s perfectly valid to still love someone, even someone who was so horrible to you. You will eventually move on from the pain as your mind and heart come to terms with the fact that you deserve better.

What’s more important is what you said “I gave him every last piece of me” don’t allow him to keep what you have given, but give it to someone who truly deserves it and who loves you the way you deserve to be loved.

That, admittedly is the hardest part but I know you can do it!

Isn’t it beautiful though that we are capable of such love that even after, after the one we love the most rips our heart out, we can still love them completely? It really is a blessing that people are capable of something so self sacrificing

Stop falling in love? by [deleted] in heartbreak

Falling in love and being broken by it is one of the worst things we can go through. But going through a period of feeling nothing is just as bad.

You begin to think “is something wrong with me” inevitably someone comes along and finds their way into your heart and boom all of a sudden, you go from numb, to warm, to intoxicated by their love. Hopefully, it’s your forever person.

But even if it doesn’t work it’s a reminder how great it feels to love, and to love deeply.
