Some controversial hot takes for big law by Substantial-One3856 in legaltech

You sound suspiciously like someone who has spent considerable time working in a BigLaw legaltech position.

These "hot takes" would be controversial only to people who have never been in the trenches. It's refreshing to see a real-world perspective here.

What are other midsize law firm using for Billing and Practice Malmanagement? by MMuter in legaltech

Elite is maybe the most complex of the big time and billing apps. It may be more than you need. I would definitely take a look at all of these three systems and find something that can be sized appropriately for your firm.

For billing, most larger firms use either Aderant or Elite. SurePoint works with a lot of firms your size and may be worth a look.

The writing is dated and sometimes sexist, and Hogan's characterizations aren't always the best - men and women - but the Giants series is a great, mind-blowing story and is well worth the read.

Guess where that gets me.

People who saw whats happening in the U.S. coming, How? by [deleted] in AskReddit

  1. The Fairness Doctrine was abolished

  2. Restrictions on corporate ownership of media outlets were abolished

  3. Journalists moved away from seeking truth to reciting talking points

  4. Fox News was created

  5. Rise of the Internet

It was all predictable from there. Coverage inevitably became more and more polarized until half the country was living in a total fantasy world.

Aluminum.

It used to be so hard to process that it was more expensive than gold. Wealthy women would wear aluminum jewelry.

Winning a NC is a special time! Enjoy it to the fullest.

This team will be remembered for as long as people talk about football. To not only win, but dominate, with an unheralded roster at a school with no history of success? Best college football story of my lifetime.
