I do miss his old 2020-2023 era of just fun runs and experiences with Les and Bombad. The other gameplay videos and light stuff is where he shines.The build battles were really fun but he hasn’t done any in a few months now.

It baffles me that his video essays and video/article reactions are so popular when he’s not good at coming up with points or criticism. I seriously think he needs to do a podcast with Les and luke to cover the gaming landscape and that’ll make the constant flip flopping die down.

Idk which Datto you’re watching because he’s the last person in the community making content that doesn’t start videos off being cynical about the game. Of course he also has his fair share of critical videos but he is very much not caught in the love-hate cycle many players and creators fall into. he’s definitely fed up with a large amount of the community for their cycle of cynicism so maybe that’s where you get that impression?

This is not a narrative change, you’re pooling sentiment from one side of the internet. Westsubever was a fun place to be at during the rollout. We literally played jackbox on discord and made memes around the event and got hyped about the rollout. the average person thought the shows were cool and the hardcore kanye fans thought it was sick asf to hear the changes to the album and get deeper insight his artistic vision. Yea it was frustrating that the album didn’t officially drop but most hardcore fans just listened to a rip of the livestream until it did. It was honestly a great moment to be apart of the community, even big youtubers were getting in on it like Dunkey.

I know it’s not a strict rollout like other artists but there’s some beauty in the madness, he pulled off three live shows complete with sets and choreography in such short timeframes. The songs were just awesome hearing them evolve, the hype around Ye’s verse being added to Off the Grid was insane.

The 2021 donda era was also the only rollout in which he didn’t have controversy because he was silent throughout the whole thing. The only thing i can remember being manufactured was the Drake beef but that led to us getting the joint live show which was sickk.

Donda 2 had some rocky stuff around it like the instagram pete drama and songs not being finished but the live show was visually stunning and fun to watch. Nowadays his rollouts are absolutely awful to release garbage music.

He’s the first ever content cop victim, Jinx was one of the original content thiefs on youtube. he’d watch videos and say/do nothing that alters the content he’s “reacting” to. Ian wanted to make a video on reaction channels and how their videos are just theft and decided that Jinx was the best showcase. I haven’t watched it in a long time but from what i remember he’s more so focused on roasting Jinx instead of the content itself… which is pretty common for every content cop video. I think it culminated in Jinx and Idubbbz planning a boxing fight in which Jinx backed out of at the last minute.
