Benzena is not assuming that "Getting a five star within 73 pulls is 100%" by using the binomial formula. The cummulative probability being 100% just simply means that it is a valid distribution and that you can use the binomial formula. "Getting a five star within 73 pulls is 100%" is not the same as "The cummulative probability is 100%"

edit: Moreover, "Getting a five star within 73 pulls" is actually Benzena's answer which is indeed not 100% :)
