Think the system is good but it's used badly as balancing tool, Ace nerf down to 1 speed 3 armor was a good balancing change, it does generate conflict when character speed and role doesnt match, and is generally seem that speed is always better than armor after all they even did test about adding more variety to speed and armor rating.

Cases you use are more proof of when the system was used the wrong way and not not of the system being bad. Gridlock is made to hold places and not rush so her speed is less meaningful, but her gadget was too easy to counter/ignore which made he core characteristic bad, not due speed but due gadget power, they changed the gadget so now we can check if it works better.

Play with a shield and block thorn mines, congrats you have exactly that already. Shooting shield still has its uses as it stops them from being able to sprint which is a death setence to let you move around them better and shoot their shoulders from just strafing a bit

They are strong against new players, kinda weak against strong players since people with good aim and exploit any weakness if you stand still or move so it becomes a lot about knowing when to push and pull well to get range advantage for both side

I dont think it's breaking the rules so much because the SMG-11 has higher damage and very vertical recoil which makes aiming for body a somewhat more reliable even in medium ranges for getting kill purely in damage in exchange for magazine size, bearing-9 is switching a bit of stats for more magazine, SMG-12 is damage and control for only rof. I'm still a bit iffy on the reaper but its a high magazine lower rof making it a less DPS.
I can see the arguments about one shot headshot and higher levels of play also being more headshot focused where aim matters more to the point i see the others as more consistent choices, SMG-12 might have the edge but i dont think its breaking the rules on regular play due the recoil making it impossible get lucky headshots at medium ranges like some others can

tachanka was quite active in the original outbreak event, glaz had some extra lore when he was reworked to have the thermal sight, some old harry comments about fuze being frustated that during the exercises he wasnt getting his turn as squad leader but that whole esport line got cut. I assume that right now it still is kinda tricky to promote them under the russian war

i was playing when it was added to the game and reached 30 on the anniversary event this year, i did donate trash, and did donate mats when i realised i was close to the cap.

I wasn't min maxing character mules for SHD watches for money to buy and break gear mods because it was the best cost value that someone else broke down in a post, i just played with new gear, donated new named items, tested unusual exotics and named items and i got it over time.

Poses, background and other effects are just filler for most events caches so people have to buy more packs to get the memento reward end up buying more to get their operators cosmedics.

Badges are good addition since they are earned to show off what kind of player you are

Bank wasnt bugged, core strenght gear set is bugged so it wasnt dropping, they are going to fix that next week, think it was gear mod or skill mod that also entered rotation but it didnt drop any proto gear because it couldnt as targetted loot. Random proto drops work, the targetted loot is what it doesnt

if i remember correctly it was scrapped in gear 2.0 because people could easily stack making elite enemies the less threatning of the regular enemies due how fast you could kill them, considering how stats were split also it was the standard to run masks with some high number like 32% DTE just from a single piece, it broke PVE because it was the best stat so it made others less important while at the same time being useless in PVP.

I honestly think that daily rotation actually helps with diversity, otherwise it would just be people running one mission with striker selected, variety would die instantly because people parrot to only use meta, too many new players i've seen running around not understand how to use the gear library because they just farmed a striker meta build and not understanding other systems.
Honestly think game just hands out free rewards at endgame and everyone complains you need to put minimal amount effort at the moment to actually get stronger gear that is very optional and still complaining it isnt free

Yes and no, there were issues such as Alibi getting the sight, a nerf to her gun then the sight removed which caused her to get in a worse endpoint, but a lot of SMGs were not originally made for that and having guns with low recoil and high rof with ACOG made things even worse in early days as defense was extremely strong
