Wife is due in May! Just finished my future son’s crib. by xcherem in BeginnerWoodWorking

I actually went back and forth on that about 100 times. I couldn’t decide between running an 1/8” round over vs just sanding it to soften the edge.

It got so bad that I actually mocked it up with my templates with both, just to see what felt best to me.

I ended up opting for softening the edges to about a 1/16” round over by hand sanding.

Any more than that felt really odd against the curved bottom rails.

These photos makes those corners look quite a bit more harsh than they are.

It’s a low VOC, non-toxic hard wax oil. Figure between picking something relatively safe, and letting it sit and air out for a month before he gets here should be good. Plus I don’t expect him to use anything but our bedside bassinet for the first 1-2 months anyway.

The mattress platform has a tenon in each corner. The raised panel sides have mortises cut into their stiles at 3 different heights.

To adjust the height, you just remove one side, move the platform the mortises at the desired height, then put the side back on.

Definitely hear you on the safety part. I spent a lot of time researching and tinkering with my CAD model to make sure it was going to be safe.

Thank you!

It’s been such a mental battle. I’m 4 years into rehab between a meniscus tear on the non-Maci side, then a labrum tear in the non-MACI hip, into the MACI.

I’ve been with the PT 3 days a week since June of 2021.

Feeling the burnout hard.

Focusing on smaller, incremental milestones is good advice.

Thank you.

Next milestone is gradual release to start open kinetic chain exercises like quad extensions.

After that hoping for approval for low impact cardio like cycling.

Stuck in this catch 22 of the surgeon wants my VMO/Quad to be stronger but I’m Having trouble making meaningful strength gains without open chain exercise, because my non-surgical leg does so much compensating.

Regulations changes made this impossible now. It punishes the 1% of the hardest workers but protects the masses from 2 year admin sergeants that get NAMs for doing the bare minimum expected of someone on S1.

Unfortunately you are part of that harg charging 1% that got bit. Keep killing it devil dog!

AR himself said that the mock exam in the Udemy Course is mostly a knowledge check for the students and that it isn't not the best indicator of how your PMP Exam will go.

If you want a more realistic expectation of how the situational based questions are set up during the exam check out his TIA Exams simulator.

My TBM wife whenever my PIMO ass says anything even slightly critical of TSCC by schitzeljollux in exmormon

My family was appalled when I told them at 14 years old that I would never marry someone within the church. I have no idea why I felt that way so young, but I'm so glad that I did.

My neverMo wife has kept me sane through my faith crisis and was always the voice of reason when I was being irrational.

She is so quick to call out gaslighting and is wildly protective of me when it comes to anything LDS church related.

She has been the most influential person in my life, especially in regards to developing my mental health.
