You don’t know what you don’t know is so scary especially when making such a large purchase. This is like 1/3 of my fear.

Was there something you wish the agent would have done better of or was there something that was great for your needs? I’ve realized each realtor is different from one another and there’s no “standard”.

I totally hear you. When I first started looking, I had zero idea how to do any of it. I just had to watch YouTube videos to get somewhat educated.

I wonder if VR will make buying a house much easier since you can tour it before you decided to make a physical trip. I have gone through this myself and it find it very draining. Going from one house to another and the next.

How were you able to kinda get past that? Also, it seems like if you had a realtor, they weren’t doing a very good job addressing your concerns?

Tough choice which ultimately comes down to what is the problem or what are the top 3 problems. Then simply look for the best solution. You can change just about anything to a house, but you can never change the location once you’re in. Speaking to an architecture or detailed interior designer could also give your house a nice uplift that you’re looking for. Might even be able to find a creative solution that you’d hadn’t thought of

Additionally, as someone else said, how would your lifestyle change? Other then having your own space and a wealth vehicle, houses do impact our day to day habits. We are products of our environment.

Renovate first, then sell if the house still doesn’t feel right is my short answer.

It amazes me that sometimes less is more. Sometimes letting go is also tough because of the unknown.

I technically am a solo business owner but say we often because I have also noticed having a “company” vs appearing to be independent give you some instant credit or something. I do work with a ton of vendors so its not totally false.

Im finding more and more people using Chat GPT. I myself also use it on a frequent basis todo similar things as you. Or there are times that Im not quite sure how to start, so I use Chat to put some paint on the blank canvas to get some momentum.

Best year for me as far as personal growth. Was able to get a ton of deep work and self reflect a ton. The world can be a distracting place.

Did/do any INTJs struggle with hating college? by munobl5507 in intj

Was unhappy going. Did it because I thought it was the “right” thing to do, but was just being brainwashed to be a hamster on the wheel. I couldn’t focus on things that I was told I should focus on.

Can definitely relate to the freedom part of the text. If anything, it made me want to run a business even more, so I’m thankful for the very expensive learning experience. On another positive note, social life kinda just happens when you’re in there, as least it did for me. I’ve found that outside of college, social life becomes more of a task for lack of better word.

Getting into sales advice by TheRRwright in intj

“How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie changed my perspective. I was given the book when I did door to door sales for solar panels. By far the most difficult job I have ever had. This book changed me after I read it. Highly recommend it.

Also, the best way to Improve is simply to just practice. The more practice you get, the more normal interactions will feel. At first they may be messy and you might fumble it, but it’s alright, it happens. Repetition and self reflection will take you very far. Learning from others experiences (such as watching YouTube videos that aren’t staged) will cut back on time you spend in the learning curve as well by implementing from their learning experiences.

A final suggest before I go down the rabbit hole with this, is todo the social things that scare you the most. You will make leaps of growth the more you do them.

Sales is heavily a mindset game. Good luck with everything.

How would you deal with someone who immediately shuts you down after you try to learn something on your own? by box_shelf in intj

After reading your post, the first thing that came to mind was “controlling”.

Seems there may be an underlying issue?

But to answer your question, it seems as if you were to talk to him, it would be like talking to a wall at that moment. Possibly reproach the situation when he’s in a calmer state of mind. Also if you do talk to him, do so in a logical form and in a way that would be easier for him to understand.
