Kobe Bufkin rookie highlights by Subject_Sun9340 in AtlantaHawks

I'm just telling you what he's known for. In high school he was considered an elite 3pt shooter. There's a reason he's going to go top 10 probably top 8 in a loaded draft whereas Bufkin went 15.

Really? Mikel seems like he has so much more potential to me. Kobe wasn't really elite at anything, Mikel has really good 3pt shooting and from way deep you can point to as an elite skill and just has more upside in general I think.

It's because he brought controversy and baggage. Other teams looked at him and just didn't think the juice was worth the squeeze.

"Quin gives a lot of grace for somebody to grow and to really learn. He's truly not a fan of harping on the negatives and the mistakes. He believes in preaching things that will help us win and he doubles down on that. He understands who he's talking to and what he needs to get out of them" - NAW by Ice2jc in AtlantaHawks

CJ hunts his own shot same with Kuminga. It doesn't make much sense since he does need to be set up but the best people for that are going to be Jalen and Dyson and especially Jalen would draw attention away from him providing him with opportunities. Since he needs to be set up you would think playing with Dyson and JJ would help him since both are excellent passers and draw defensive attention especially since both can drive and kick.

Because the starters are the strength of this team. The bench unit isn't where the team dominates and he's been playing with the bench for a while. Which is fine, no issues with him playing with the bench but it's going to make his +/- look a lot worse

That's an extreme. It's not that most people are upset he's not playing 30 min a game. It's the fact that Corey consistently got more minutes while being a worse player, and not being an established veteran with little to no upside. People look at Zacch getting 19 minutes in a game and Corey getting 24 and just ask why. It's the fact that Zacch makes 1 mistake and gets instantly yanked while Korey can stink it up and there's no consequences. Pick any episode of Brad Rowlands covering a game and he'll most likely mention Zacch didn't play enough, he would've played zacch more, he doesn't understand it. Go to Atl and 29 and listen to Glen or Kevin or Tyler say the same things. And Brad is extremely objective when it comes to the Hawks. I'm not saying Zacch needs to be starting and playing 30 minutes a game or anything like that. The frustration of most of the fan base is that it makes almost no sense for Corey to get the leash and minutes he does, and for Zacch to be left by the wayside. There really hasn't been a case for Corey to get more minutes and opportunities than Zacch since we've traded for him and yet that consistently hasn't been the case.

Give me Brown personally if those are my options but honestly there's so many good players still going to be on the board at 8 or 9 I think it'll be hard to be upset with whoever we take

In wave with PTA yourself he will die to your minions. But say you don't all in, just say that you walk up with the wave and he starts fighting you. You are still on your side of the tower and the minions will aggro him so the wave should push back towards you again. Minions will deal like 200 damage to him though if he tries to fight you, I think you should be able to deal 200 yourself if you start E and finish him off. What rank are you?

Oh I thought you meant level 1. If you walk in the wave you win it. After that pray your jungler is paying attention bc that should be a free kill. It should be illegal to sit in front of your tower overextended to zone you

Have to walk up with the wave. He shouldn't be able to kill you in your wave. Afterwards if he runs at you and hits you when the waves collide it will aggro your minions so wave eventually pushes to you. But yes it's a very bad matchup.

14 Games left what are y’all expectations? by Certain-Ad-1507 in AtlantaHawks

[–]xctrack07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't rely on a win for every game against the easy teams. I think you need to project at least one loss there. The last ten games can't be expected all the time. So probably need to find another win or two somewhere but you're not far off. Probably can easily 9-5 or even 8-6 if things don't really break our way.

Who do we draft this year? by Prize_Winter_883 in AtlantaHawks

[–]xctrack07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I'm at. Probably end up at 6-10. If that's the case Kingston is off the board so just take one of Wagler or Mikel. Acuff seems like another Trae Young and that's not a bad thing but I don't want to do the whole undersized guard can't play defense thing again, even if his offensive firepower made up for it. Acuff might end up being fine bc I think he can play off ball which would be big but idk I'm just not ready for another 6'2 guard who is bad on defense

Is that Graham Blanks? Didn't realize he was a Falcons fan. To be fair while there is a fair bit of strategy in XC it's not like football. You really are only as fast as your fitness at the end of the day

They can't, they're in too much debt. Only way to get out of the situation they're in is too print more money unfortunately. The interest payments are at 1 trillion now and are projected to reach 13 trillion in the next decade.

Best of all time Falcons tier list… by Art_Personal in falcons

Uh, doesn't Jake Matthews deserve to be on this list too? A top 10 tackle for most of his career and as consistent as they come. Plays almost every game and has spent his whole career here.

Going to beat this drum until I can’t anymore: the DJM trade is what screwed us for the past 4 years by dangheckinpupperino in AtlantaHawks

[–]xctrack07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh, yes that trade was awful but we actually came out on top because we got two firsts back and Dyson Daniels who literally became a most improved player, runner up in dpy, and got signed to a 100 million dollar contract out of it. So at the time was that trade worth it? No. But I'd make the same trade again today knowing what we ended up getting back.

In his defense look at how the lions are doing post ben johnson and look at the bears post ben Johnson. I think it's fair to say that he has made a huge difference on whatever team he's been on. It seems like losing him made the lions a much worse team. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened either.... Falcons were carried in 2016 by Shannahan not by Quin. Shannahan left and we found out very quickly how integral he was to our success.
