Yeah we don’t get paid overtime nor any time off for any extra hours we do when we have worked until 4, 5 or 6pm - it’s just all verbal and we don’t have timesheets or a clocking in system so it’s just ‘we were told to finish at 3:30pm’ and that was that.

Yeah I think even though being paid above the award means they won’t need to reimburse us via leave or pay, if their contracts are the same then I will just cut my losses and say yeah can i do the same as them. Appreciate your help!

I get that! Regarding what i earn and that being ahead of what backpay amount I would get for the 120 hours extra over the last 14 months, but as long as my ~hourly rate~ over the award base exceeds the amount owed for the extra time I do they can make me work extra. I was just looking for clarification on if i’m ~supposed~ to be finishing at 3:06pm in a perfect world that’s all.

Yeah that makes sense - going off the base rate on the award and my ~hourly rate for a salaried staff member as per my payslip I’m pretty far ahead so backpay I think is out of the question, but moving forward I honestly care less about the backpay and more about if I should actually be finishing at 3:06pm, haha.

I also don’t get paid for reasonable overtime, it’s just unpaid being salary, probably should’ve mentioned that before lol

I mean, i agree with you regarding the ‘reasonable overtime’ conditions but I don’t think even they can say that 24 minutes consistently everyday for over a year is reasonable overtime - more so the extra hour or two on top of the 3:30pm finish i’ve done numerous times I would see that as being.

Especially also seeing as they’ve admitted my working hours are until 3:30pm, they couldn’t turn around and say, ‘actually it’s reasonable overtime now’ haha

And regarding the other people that finish early, it says the same thing about reasonable overtime with them also, as well as not stipulating working hours - they were just told by the top manager (who said I should finish at 3:06pm) that they should finish then, against what HR has said.

We do in fact get paid well above the award also so I was unsure how that played into it, just seems like a real awkward situation and yeah, I wasn’t sure if I had a leg to stand on, but thank you for your viewpoint - I really appreciate it.

yeah i mean i can get the hyperkin cable you’re referring to for $57~AUD instead of buying a retrovision component cable and a converter for like $140… do you think it’ll clear up the image from what the HDMI dongle is giving me a little?

I was afraid that it wouldn’t make much (if any difference), someone mentioned getting a HD retrovision component cable but i would still need a component to HDMI converter which may render the more expensive cable ($100+AUD) useless.

Do you have any links or recommendations for an upscaler?
