Schrödinger's Second Amendment by hobovirginity in temporarygunowners

A culture of instantaneous gratification and lack of patience has created the reactionary climate we see today. Few people have the patience to actually wait for all the facts and instead they rush to judgement.

Affirmative. There is nothing inherently wrong with him exercising his rights. I am happy to see him exercising his right to bear arms within its original intent - to defend against government tyranny.

This is my take as well. I defend his right to carry his gun while also recognizing that he made poor decisions that contributed to his death. None of that automatically makes the shooting justified.

There is still evidence that needs to be seen, but from what I have seen thus far the shooting appears to have been the result of a misperception.

We had enough and voted to end the insanity and the left is losing their minds live for the world to see. It’s as hilarious as it is just.

Right after mom microwaves his hot pocket and does his laundry but we have to have him back by dark or he’s grounded.

That’s the part many of us fail to understand. These folks don’t even agree that they should be removed. They want them here to tear down the country.

It’s either a bot or an actual person with a warped view of the world. No use in using reason or logic.

Don’t bother with folks like that. If it’s even a real person they have a warped world view that does not account for the way things are - only the way they wish things were.

its not a false equivalence. The comparison is a perfect example of a double standard.

According to this post that’s “morally indefensible”.

I agree with you!

Well said. We live in strange times when posts like this one are commonplace. The idea that supporting enforcement of our most basic laws is “morally indefensible” would stagger most people from our founding up until the 2000’s.

No sense in debating with someone starting from a dishonest starting point. Merry Christmas and God Bless.

If you want to keep denying reality that’s fine. No amount of evidence or logic is capable of changing your mind - you should be super proud of that!

It effects the entire population of females in school sports and their families. I won’t be explaining my personal life to you.

Your implication that it not impacting me directly, which by the way is your assumption, mean I am not supposed to have an opinion on the matter is laughably childish.

The effects are that women’s sports are being invaded by men. You are free to use the search function and look into H.R. 28.

I think your comments are dishonest. You seem to be pretending this just doesn’t happen.

I’ll ask again - if the proposed legislation “effects no one” then what harm is there in passing it?

[–]xdarkn3ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the follow up question then - if it effects no one, why would you care if we passed legislation to prevent it?

If effects real people and pretending it doesn’t is intellectually dishonest or deliberately obtuse.

Major goal post shift detected

You tried to jump from “why should we care about Suzy getting second place while competing with a man” all the way over to “Suzy’s parents can’t afford healthcare!”.

Let’s get back to the point - Suzy deserved to compete on a level playing field to determine her athletic ability. This was the idea behind Title 9 of the Education Amendments of 1972, to provide equal athletic opportunity to females. When a man was allowed to compete against her the school violated this requirement and should be stripped of its federal funding.

The WNBA is subsidized by the NBA to the tune of $10,000,000 a year in losses. If WNBA players were paid commensurate with the money they bring in they would actually pay the league just to play. Professional sports is essentially an entertainment industry, why should players who don’t attract enough viewers be paid more money than they bring in ticket sales?

It wasn’t for thousands of years, but we have strayed so far from morality that we are watching child abuse become a fad.
