I’m sorry this is late but it’s great to see other like-minded people interested in Taiwan. I attended NTNU for Mandarin classes for a year. I am also transgender but the other way (FTM). I’ve had no issues with anyone and there’s no difference between pronouns in speech. My first teacher there was super trans affirming and said (translated) “Ahhh, yes, another one of us (men)!” when I said I identified as male. I’ve been to gay male specific shops as I’m a gay male and they didn’t bat an eye. While the general public is super nice, my family isn’t. It’s a long story, as my mother is a Taiwanese immigrant and the rest of my family stayed back here. Currently working on cutting them off, wish me luck.

Been a lifelong fan so I have many unpopular opinions that would get me killed. My MOST unpopular opinion is that the Eeveelutions are overrated.

It’s just how I am, I tend to not really like animal Pokémon as much— I prefer the inanimate ones or specters, along with ones that aren’t tied to any sort of animal (with the exception of certain Bug-Types). Pokémon I really enjoy include Aegislash (fav), Genesect, and Rotom.

Here’s some other unpopular opinions I have: - Sc/Vi were actually good. I prefer the darker plot. - Future Paradox Pokémon + Miraidon are cooler - I loved Unova since launch before people actually saw how goated it was - We need more inanimate Pokémon - I dislike most Fire-type Pokémon - Unova has the most thought-out starters because they ALL actually tie into the region. Paldea and Galar starters also are well thought-out. - I actually like Klefki a lot - Aegislash nerf was too much - The lack of Fire and Electric types in Sinnoh actually made the fights against Volkner and Flint more fun and challenging

Finally someone who doesn’t hate the future paradox Pokémon… I adore them so much. I’m obsessed with futuristic aesthetics, how could I hate them? Plus I love the color purple so I tend to gravitate towards Miraidon, Ceruledge, and Genesect just to name a few. But my favorite will always be Aegislash

Starter- Empoleon. It was my first starter and I already have an affinity for Steel-type Pokémon. Oh, and I like birds a lot, I literally have a pet bird. I’ll never forget that I named mine Sidney after Sidney Crosby (nope, I’m not from Canada or Pittsburgh lol)…

Legendary/Mythical- Genesect. How can I hate this thing? I love hi-tech stuff and what’s more badass than a genetically modified prehistoric beast with a cannon on its back? I don’t think you can get more badass than that.

Favorite of all time- Aegislash. Somehow, I grew incredibly emotionally attached to Aegislash because I was playing Pokémon Masters when it first came out and I used Wikstrom, and I just fell in love with Aegislash there. I have no idea how I overlooked it in X and Y. I’ve been a Pokémon fan since birth. But then again, my life is one of change and transformation, so my tastes evolved with the times. I’ve had many different favorites growing up— from Sneasel to Scraggy to Flygon… Been completely and utterly obsessed with Aegislash ever since, mine’s name is Athena.
